Served in a snifter at the Union Brewhouse in Weymouth.
Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a slightly hazy copper color with some vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Frothy lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Faint citrus, pine, resin, floral bouquet, pale malts, toasted malts, and a little alcohol.
Taste: Same as above. Mild tingly bitterness in the rear. Alcohol is not even noticeable.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, refreshing, mild bitterness, medium bodied, and medium carbonation.
Overall: A solid double IPA. I will definitely have another.

Clear gold with a short whitish cap that left a fair bit of lacing on the glass. Fruity aroma, grapefruit mostly, with some earthy hops and caramel sweetness. Malty sweet up front followed by growing bitterness in the finish. Grapefruit appears mid-palate and it ends with a bit of grassiness and alcohol spice/warmth. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, almost sticky in texture. A decent big IPA.

Two roads road2ruin from notes
Picked up locally bottle dated 2/21/2014
enjoyed in a two roads snifter
a - brew pours a transparent orange with a finger of head and spotty lacing. Some visible carbonation. 4
s - nose is a nice blast of citrus. Not too bitter, not too sweet...just right. Smells fantastic. 4.75
t/m - the citric blast from the nose hits my palate first and is then immediately washed over with bitterness. Really nice IIPA but a touch too heavy on the bitterness. As my palate adjusts I overcome the bitterness and experience that wonderful fruitiness. Medium bodied and a bit chewy. Bitter aftertaste 4.25 3.75
o - overall I am fairly impressed with this beer. A very worthy IIPA 4.25

A: medium amber and clear, thick head fat-as-ya-want-it
S: grassy and floral, honey-drizzled hops; piney dark notes with citric highlights
T: fresh malty caramel, crisp and clean; bitter hops bring lots of herbal and resinous character, with hits of citric pith and woodier/earthier notes
M: medium-chew and body, some heft for a 7.6 abv, nice bitterness; slight tack and coat
O: a nicely made DIPA without any particularly distinctive characteristics. Leans toward the IPA end of the DIPA spectrum.
