A- 12oz bottle poured to a snifter with a fairly hazy, orange body. A white head builds to about one finger high with a creamy, frothy thick texture. Retention is pretty good. Lacing has some thick sheets at the top and webs follow down the glass.

S- Pungent citrus rind and juice with a resinous pine alongside that. Slight stone fruit and tropical notes. Hops are dominant but there is some grainy malts and caramel backing them.

T- Hops once again provide a bulk of the beer's character with bitter orange peel, citrus juice, tangerine pith, grapefruit, resinous pine, floral and stone fruit notes. Light sweetness with a slight caramel malt, biscuit base. Slight alcohol, too much for only 7.6%.

MF- Fairly thick body with a creamy, slightly chewy feel. Carbonation in the medium range. Heavy bitterness bites the palate in the finish.

I like a IIPA with a bite but the bitterness and alcohol combine here to distract from a really well done hop profile. Just doesn't sit as smoothly as others and it is only 7.6%. This could be great with some fine, small adjustments.

Poured from the 12 oz. bottle into a Tree House tulip.

a: Nearly clear amber with a finger thick white head which receded slowly to thick surface foam and dense lacing.

s; Moderate to intense citrus and pine.

t: Strong citrus to resin hop bite over a nice smooth malt base. Bitterness stings the sides of the tongue. Dry to bitter finish.

m: Moderate to full with great body. Very smooth, approaching silky.

o: A really fine DIPA with everything going for it. As good as almost any of the far more popular versions out there. My first Two Roads will not be my last.

a. Nice golden orange color with 2 finger head. Head flattens quickly. Some lacing.

s. Pineapple, pine, hoppy, some floral on pour.

t. Pine, pineapple, honeysuckle when cold. Nice flavors when first poured.

m. Could use more carbonation, but very good.

o. It is rare to find a beer that 'breaks down' so quickly - the slight change in temp on a 75 degree day caused this beer to go from borderline outstanding when poured from the bottle, to funky smelling, flat beer less than 10 min later. IF you can drink this beer quickly, you will like it. If you tend to let a beer linger, you will wonder if you are drinking the same beer. That being said, the taste is on the out of the bottle cold rating. The overall takes the time laps into account. Drink this quickly.

Served in a snifter at the Union Brewhouse in Weymouth.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a slightly hazy copper color with some vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Frothy lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Faint citrus, pine, resin, floral bouquet, pale malts, toasted malts, and a little alcohol.

Taste: Same as above. Mild tingly bitterness in the rear. Alcohol is not even noticeable.

Mouthfeel: Crisp, refreshing, mild bitterness, medium bodied, and medium carbonation.

Overall: A solid double IPA. I will definitely have another.

Clear gold with a short whitish cap that left a fair bit of lacing on the glass. Fruity aroma, grapefruit mostly, with some earthy hops and caramel sweetness. Malty sweet up front followed by growing bitterness in the finish. Grapefruit appears mid-palate and it ends with a bit of grassiness and alcohol spice/warmth. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, almost sticky in texture. A decent big IPA.
