12 oz. bottle.
Pale lemon. Slightly hazy, with some particulate matter. Tall, billowy, bright white head. Great lacing. Nose is a mix of yeast, bread, and herbal hops. Some dank. Yeast is definitely of a Belgian nature. Light powdered sugar and lemon/citrus.
Toasted malt and citrusy hop bitterness up front. Cracker malt fills in with some mild sweet notes. Spicy yeast mixes with light fruit flavor (orange and mango). More citrus hop bitterness in the finish, with lingering Belgian yeastiness. Medium bodied with a creamy feel. Not bad, but I feel like the flavors were a little out of sync with each other.

Appearance: 1/4 inch head, high carbonation, light yellow in color, clear
Smell: citrus hops and pineapple
Taste: citrus hops, wheat lemon, light Belgian spices and pineapple
Mouthfeel: light body, bitter with light sweetness, medium carbonation
Overall: Of all the Two Roads beers I have tried, this is the one that I was least impressed with. It is above average if you want a white IPA and this beer gets better as it warms, still there are others that I would go to first.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.
Pours hazy blackish yellow with 1/4 inch white foam. Very clingy. Musty/chalky nose. Taste is wheaty like it wants to go witbier, but no lemon/citrus arrives and so it evolves into a hoppier blend. Bitter lingers long after. Beer warms, and then some citrus shows up. Unique offering for this CT start up. Like what they are doing.

A new local Connecticut offering, though the brewmaster apparently has a good deal of experience under his belt. Met an employee at the weekly beer tasting at a local shop in Tolland and sampled this and a few others. Bought some to take home.
A - Aggressive head formation, courtesy of the wheat. Pale and clear like a dry mead or a California Chardonnay. Bubbles still rising after the head has settled.
S - Smells like beer. It's not a strong-smelling brew. Some malty notes, some bright something in there that tells your nose it's carbonated, no hops to speak of, maybe just a wee bit of alcohol.
T - Not what I expect or like from my IPAs, but there's bitterness in there, oh yes. Just not any of the bright, piney/citrusy melodies I prefer my hoppy beers to play. It's got about half-Hefeweizen, probably because of the yeast they're using and the wheat in the mash bill, giving you little flashes of almost-but-not-quite clove, wait-was-that-no-I-guess-not banana, some sharp citrus oil esters... it's kind of lemony, but not in a beer way, more in a fancy imported lemon soda sort of way. The bitterness is a hop bitterness, and it balances what needs balanced, but it will not entice your inner hophead to go full werewolf and start telling your buddies all about that time you walked into a pub and they had DFH120 on tap. Which is what I'm usually prowling for in an IPA these days, honestly, but sometimes it's nice to drink something a little more classic, restrained.
M - Intense, explosive carbonation, like if a Sprite wasn't all thick and gooey in the mouth; it's that punchy. It's thin on the front, probably because with that amount of carbonation I'm expecting a thick syrupy soda experience, but it's thicker and more coating on the end of the swallow. It almost foams up on you in your mouth. This beer really just saturated with carbonation.
Overall, it's good! It's kind of different. It makes one hell of a shandy with Simply Lemonade, about 3:2. Also, as I just discovered, a bottle of it works quite well over 3 oz of fresh orange juice. It would probably be an excellent beer lightly chilled in the middle of July, or used to top up classic gin+lemon+sugar+beer Skip and Go Nakeds or Beer French 75s. The (assertive? excessive?) carbonation would make it an excellent interest-adding substitute for Champagne or even soda water (or, with some simple syrup, Sprite/7-Up) in any mixed drink or punch.
tl;dr: Interesting! Good "IPA-feweizen", not for your hophead fix; light, brightly carbonated, this beer plays well with others. Mix it, experiment with it, or just drink it.

Pale yellow gold in the glass, quite a bit lighter in color than one would expect for an IPA, the head is full and thick and nearly pure white. The smell is of wheat bread, lemony and citrus hops and belgian yeast, it's quite a mix again a clear departure from whats standard for the style. The citrus hops come out to the front in the taste behind that there is further bitterness with a more herbal hop flavor. The grain is present also, this beer avoids some of the darker caramel malts and opts for a cleaner malt profile of pales and wheat. The finish is peppery and that is where the belgian ale yeast character is most noticeable. It is rather highly carbonated and that combined with the hop bitterness make it lively on the tongue. The alcohol content is moderate for an IPA and as a result the drinkability is pretty good as well. This is a rather unique beer, it has the IBUs of a lower end IPA but the wheat and belgian yeast separate it from standard IPAs while it has too much citrus character to be classified as a belgian ale. It's a bit unconventional but I like it.
