Pour is a rich copper amber with a hint of red haze. 2 fingers of thick, tan head, lingering forever.

Nose carries lots of earthy grain and malt. Subtle hint of sweet. Not too potent

Taste is surprisingly rich and malty. Again, earthy notes of with a rich malt. Just a little hint of sweet milky caramel. Finish is nicely balanced with crisp, bitter hop.

Feel is medium thin, appropriate for the style.

Not my favorite type of beer, but a really good local example. Would have liked a little better balance between the malty sweet and the bitter finish, but overall a good try. Hides the booze readily.

Very interesting beer. Pours out a dark, reddish brown with a creamy white head. Really nice malt driven aroma with some raisins and toffee coming through.

Taste is much bigger than the nose. Candi sugar sweetness balances with a solid malt backbone. Alcohol does slightly come through but helps balance it out. Big toffee flavor with a raisin note that lingures for awhile.

Overall a solid and fun offering. ABV is high so be warned.

22oz. Bomber: This one pours a clear, darker coppery/amber color. There was a finger of tan head that didn’t linger long. Some lacing. Nice nose. Lots of caramel malts, but the sweetness is somewhat subdued. Getting some faint fruits, spiciness and a bit of earthiness. The taste is good. Just a bit sweet, with a hint of dryness in the finish. Caramel malts, hints of spice and some dark fruits. This is nice.

A: Dark ruby colored amber. Semi-clear with a large tan head. Nice retention
with a few layers of lacing down the glass.

S: malty, sweet with caramel. Dark fruits and sugar. Slight aroma of alcohol
comes in reminding me that the beer is a double Bock.

T/M: Sugary malts. Caramel and toffee. The taste of malty bread. Also sweet
and smooth. Dark fruits come in with a slight hit of hops. The finish is clean
with only a small hint of bitterness from the hops.

O: This Bock is really malt dominated, in a good way. Sweet but a little one sided.
I still enjoyed this beer a lot. It's also easy to drink which is a bonus.

Cheers!!

A dark copper colored brew, clear and nearly a rosy hue with a very healthy tan head that provides generous layers of lacing. The aroma is fairly subtle with deep caramel malt and licorice brown sugar as well as some tart rhubarb nuances. Nice. The flavor exudes more bready, biscuity malt goodness but this is impressively smooth and offers a unique blend of floral, pear and licorice with root beer sweetness. It's so perfectly blended , especially for a bock beer. The body is solidly medium with fairly quiet carbonation and a very smooth feel. One of the more enjoyable bocks I've had though it does push the sweetness a bit perhaps.
