12oz brown bottle with a freshness date.

This beer has the best aftertaste of any pumpkin beer I have tried, level spicing and barrel aging did the trick here. Seriously, Roadsmany's Baby is fun to drink let alone the name which is a hoot. This beer is not just for Halloween, if you can still grab a bottle or few save it for early winter.

LOOK: Nice froth, elegant lacing, hazed dark chestnut hue

SMELL: Well rounded; spice, toasted grain, malty, subtle alcohol, wood, brown sugar, pumpkin, cinnamon

TASTE: Incredibly smooth, dried grassy, toasted bread crust, pie spice, pumpkin flesh, mild wood tannin, kiss of alcohol, earthy, drying tannic wood finish

12 oz bottle, BTLD 7/29/15 etched on the bottle.

Pour is quite clear, darker amber with a dark pumpkin hue. Moderate khaki cap stays a while and leaves some low strands of lacing.

Surprise....some pumpkin on the nose with some fall spicing.

Malty, some pumpkin, more pumpkin pie spicing and a back note of mellow rum. Nice. Full bodied and packing a punch at 6.8%...nice fall sipper

Very good pumpkin beer that manages to have a unique taste in the myriad of pumpkin beers I have tried. Pumpkin spice is there and so is the pie crust. The oaking is subtle until the beer warms. It adds a nice dry flavor to a tasty beer.

Clever name but the aroma and taste is just average for a pumpkin beer; not one of the best. Everything about this beer is subdued except the alcohol and finish. For a higher ABV pumpkin I expect a lot more flavor.

Dark caramel colored with a beige head that settles out slowly and leaves a low fine cap of wispy bubbles. Aroma of faint vegetal notes, some cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg.

Squashy flavor upfront, followed quickly by malty goodness, then some spices, and then a wash of vanilla. Vanilla extract and spikey nutmeg emerge in the finish, which detracts from the overall.

Good mouthfeel, round and creamy. Not a bad beer overall, but the vanilla finish detracts.

Still doesn't beat my favorite pumpkin ale (Punkin by DFH), but this one comes in at a close second for sure. The taste is really good on this, nice bready malts with a delicious mix of spice. Not too heavy and nothing is really artificial like feeling I get when I drink Pumking from ST. I hear they have a barrel-aged version of this stuff, too.

One of the most original and inventive pumpkin beers. Who would have thought to age a pumpkin beer for enhanced flavor? Pours a brown Amber color. Smells is slightly sweet, with fall time spices and a large woft of pumpkin. Moderate carbonation. Very carbonated and spicy at the front end. The sweetness ends in the smell as the taste is dry with a hint of dark fruit and once again pumpkin. No real noticeable hops. Also mentions vanilla beans which do come out.

On tap at Boneheadz Wing Bar
Poured a very murky light brown with an orange tint in the light. Small, cream-colored head. Little retention, moderate lace.
Smell is of mild spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon.
Taste is of malt with hints of the spices. Lacking a bit.
Feel is medium with mild carbonation.
Overall, a one-shot taster.

DATE TASTED: September 27, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Schneider's Edel-Weisse pokal... OCCASION: fueling up for a new week after seeing my father -in-law return from quadruple bypass--good stuff... APPEARANCE: a solid orange-brown reminiscent of iced tea forms the basis of a mildly effervescent body; off-white head is consistent but not more than a quarter-inch in size; ... AROMA: instant sensation of wet oak, pumpkin, nutmeg--little sign of vanilla... some yeastiness that suggests a funky, earthy, grassy quality... PALATE: buzzing with activity early, before breaking off to a smoothness that finishes in warmth; a dry maltiness ... TASTE: gingerbread, nutmeg, and pumpkin fill out a tasty profile... the vanilla bean appears late, with some floral undertones too... some prune and dry fruits..in a word, complex... OVERALL: a murky, heavy-tasting brown that forms the base for a myriad of fruit and funk...alcohol is slightly detected, and clocking in at 6.8% ABV, that probably shouldn't happen... still, a fall ale that's got great packaging and reasonable content...
