12oz brown bottle with a freshness date.

This beer has the best aftertaste of any pumpkin beer I have tried, level spicing and barrel aging did the trick here. Seriously, Roadsmany's Baby is fun to drink let alone the name which is a hoot. This beer is not just for Halloween, if you can still grab a bottle or few save it for early winter.

LOOK: Nice froth, elegant lacing, hazed dark chestnut hue

SMELL: Well rounded; spice, toasted grain, malty, subtle alcohol, wood, brown sugar, pumpkin, cinnamon

TASTE: Incredibly smooth, dried grassy, toasted bread crust, pie spice, pumpkin flesh, mild wood tannin, kiss of alcohol, earthy, drying tannic wood finish

Very good pumpkin beer that manages to have a unique taste in the myriad of pumpkin beers I have tried. Pumpkin spice is there and so is the pie crust. The oaking is subtle until the beer warms. It adds a nice dry flavor to a tasty beer.

Dark caramel colored with a beige head that settles out slowly and leaves a low fine cap of wispy bubbles. Aroma of faint vegetal notes, some cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg.

Squashy flavor upfront, followed quickly by malty goodness, then some spices, and then a wash of vanilla. Vanilla extract and spikey nutmeg emerge in the finish, which detracts from the overall.

Good mouthfeel, round and creamy. Not a bad beer overall, but the vanilla finish detracts.

Fairly dark, translucent ale, topped with a small beige head with decent retention.

Subdued aroma, with very smooth notes of rum, vanilla, and pumpkin all blending together.

Flavor follows: it's just an overall smooth ale. Pumpkin, vanilla, and just a bit of spice all complement a beer that is mostly toasted malts - toffee, tannin, and very light brown sugar - mixed with the smoothest, lightest touch of rum.

Very smooth and silky mouthfeel; medium, a little sticky, a little lively. Very nice.

Any more barrel notes would overwhelm this beer. Any more pumpkin would make it indistinguishable from the other spicy pumpkin beers already on the market. This is a very nice, balanced, subtle beer, that is ale first, rum second, pumpkin third, and I find that very smooth and enjoyable.

Pours a dirty amber color with a soapy white head that settles into a light ring. 3.5

The aroma is nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla. There is a nice balance between the nutmeg and cinnamon, and the vanilla I guess. Slight allspice/clove, not much from the rum. I like the aroma, good balance. 4

The malt is fairly neutral, a bit of the astringent red/amber ale note; lemony. Nice earthy brown sugar with the pumpkin spice. Good balance of the spices with the vanilla, perhaps a hint of the rum. I like the earthiness to the beer. 3.75

The feel is moderate with very fizzy carbonation. Drinks quite well. Good balance of sweet and spice. Enough earthiness. A bit bitter in the finish. 3.75

I dig this pumpkin beer. It is slightly different from the rest. Spot on spice with a rustic brown sugar note. Rum is very hard to detect but I feel it adds a bit. And it drinks kind of light despite the range of flavors. 4

CT beer run pickup of single bottle. Poured into a pint glass. 10/26

Pours darker brown, right on the cusp of being black. Bubbly white foam. Sweeter malt nose, cinnamon, nutmeg. Spiced rum nose. Taste is a strong pumpkin malt, but interupted by a rum coconut flavor. Vanilla pokes through as well. Lots happening here. Interesting for sure, give credit for the creativity.

Purchased as a single, warm. Served from a bottle into a tulip glass. Bottled 8/21/2013. Always good to see bottle dating!

a: Looks like a flat Dr. Pepper. A deep burnt red, more amber around the glass edges Hard to see through the middle of the glass. Poured with a half inch head that quickly dissipated. Lacing as I drink it.

S: Mostly Spices and a little malt. Not a lot of rum. No pumpkin.

T: A lot of spices. Can't nail it but clove, cardamon, nutmeg. Not a lot of cinnamon or rum in the taste. More pumpkin as it warms up. Tastes more like a winter seasonal than a fall one. You don't taste the 6.8%.

M: carbonated, moderate mouth feel, gets creamier as it warms up.

O: I am glad I tried it. I want to see Two Roads succeed but sometimes I wish it were NEBCO that had the largest brewery in CT. I wouldn't allocate a part of my budget to this.

A: Deep amber with a short head that fades away to a slight topping

S: Not a lot on the nose, perhaps earthy with some pumpkin and spices

T: Pumpkin malt, hint of vanilla but hidden by the spices. Not getting much of the rum but a slight sweetness that perhaps comes from the barrel

M:Smooth and clean, not sticky like a lot of pumpkin beers

O: Probably one of the better pumpkins I have had, I think i was expecting to much out of it so i feel let down, but not to say it isnt good, its actually quite good for a pumpkin beer.
