Located in the Northpointe shopping center, this is a big box store of alcohol, so there's not exactly an "atmosphere," unless looking at bottles on shelves turns you on. Incidentally, due to Washington's massive alcohol taxes, it does not pay to buy hard alcohol here if you are able to drive the 20-30 miles to Post Falls, Idaho, where taxes are much more reasonable. Fortunately, beer is taxed at the normal sales tax rate here (which is high enough), so the only reason to drive east is if Enoteca has something TW does not have in stock (which is always possible, so call before driving to either if in search of something special).
Largest beer selection in Spokane, but that's kind of their raison d'etre, isn't it? While essentially the Wal-mart of alcohol, they DO sometimes get local kegs at their growler station, which is cool for a chain location.
There are employees wandering the aisles, but they don't go out of their way to assist you any more than they do at the Target or Best Buy down the way. I've yet to encounter anyone in the beer section, actually, but I imagine if I actually need to corner someone and ask them a specific question, I could hunt someone down without too much fuss.
Most of the stock sits out on shelves, and is organized by style if coming from America, and by country when imported. Haven't had anything that seems to have been spoiled or past it's prime, so they must do a decent job of making sure things don't sit out too long.
This place is on the other end of Spokane from where I live, so I don't generally stop by unless in the area, but the selection is large enough to make it a must-visit when I am near, and it pays to call them if hunting something specific. Prices are competitive with everyone else local.

It's a Total Wine. Which means it has amazing selection and take or make your own 6er. The domestic selection was mostly from the NW, nice to see a bunch of local brews in there. It has a good, if smaller, international selection. This place also fills growlers from a choice of 12 different taps. Good service. And the prices are right.

By Far the best bottle shop in Spokane, nobody else even comes close to their selection. Great customer service, the employees are very helpful and friendly. Their beer classes are extremely entertaining and educational. I absolutely love this place and as far as value goes they are very competitively priced so they almost always have the best price in town.

Just opened in the last few weeks, this is THE DESTINATION for craft beer shoppers in Spokane. I was a bit skeptical of the name, but don;t let Total Wine fool you, they have a HUGE selection of craft (and macro) brews.
In what used to be a Border's book and video store the place is HUGE. You can get a lot of beer, wine and liquor in the building. There are over 450 different beers in cases six-packs and large format bottles. The stock included a lot of beer I have never seen in the area, and according to the staff the selection will be growing. Quantity is also very good. There were cases of craft beers stacked on shelves and isle displays.
There is a 12 tap growler filling station called "The Brew District". The 12 handles change on a rotating basis. They fill growlers you bring in, and they sell 2 different size growlers on-site. They host wine tastings, so I assume you can taste beer in the Brewery District as well.
Service was very good. My wife was looking for an Almond Roca flavored cordial, and the staff spent a lot of time looking for it.
Value is also very good. Six-packs and bottles are selling for less than grocery store prices.
It's a little out of my way at "The Y" but I'll find a way to drop by Total Wine on a fairly regular basis. If they created a beer of the month club I would join. What a place!
