On tap.

A: Nice finger thick white head. Excellent lacing as I drank. Slight haze

S: Strong DANK pine and mild citrus. Oh baby

T: Dank pine, mild grapefruit, slight floral with nice malt toast as balance. Maybe the slightest touch of light caramel malt (?) for balance but definitely not sweet.

M: Excellent. I had this after a Peeper Ale and it made the Maine Co beer seem thin in comparison

O: This is a GREAT IPA. I'm definitely a fan of SingleCut and considering that they've only been open a short while and that this is a 5% ABV IPA, it's most impressive. Recommended.

Single Cut "Billy 18-Watt IPA"
On tap @ Dosa Royale, Brooklyn, NY

Notes: Clear amber, short white head. Very nice lacing. Bright aroma of citrus pith, pineapple. Resinous! Great! Flavor does not live up to the aroma. It's THIN in comparison with a limited maltiness. The hop flavor pales in comparison to the aroma, BUT overall it's refreshing and drinkable.

Growler filled at Nathaniel Square Corner Store.

Pours a clear light amber, with a one inch head, and sheets of lacing down the glass.

Smells like pine resin, grapefruit, flowers, and other sweet fruity aromas.

This one has a pretty solid amount of grapefruit in the flavor, which is nice, along with some orange, a huge floral flavor, some pine resin, and a pleasant amount of bitterness that lingers for a decent while. There is not a whole lot of malt present, but the body seems to be heftier than a typical session IPA, so that must be where I'm seeing it. It definitely doesn't translate like most session IPAs- this isn't just simply hop water, it's a deliciously hoppy beer you can have a few of and feel fine.

This one has a medium body, but feel light while drinking it, keeping it very drinkable. There is a medium amount of carbonation, and a crisp, kicking mouthfeel.

I'm finally starting to find some session IPAs that float my boat. This one was great.

A: The beer is clear yellowish amber in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface, a collar around the edge and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose along with some hints of pine resin.
T: Like the smell, the overall taste is quite citrusy—flavors of grapefruit seem to stand out in particular. Slight hints of pine resin are noticeable towards the finish. The beer has a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and quite crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer packs the hop aromas and flavors that you would expect from an Imperial IPA but is rather easy to drink given its lower alcohol content.
