beautiful tap room in a great area, excellent service and friendly staff, great selection for the most part. the big kicker for me was the single deck vinyl set up they were using to play music, genius. really ties into their branding perfectly (especially if those were first-press records!). Will be back very soon!!

Great setup in Astoria, tons of board games to choose from while swiggin some of the best beers NYC has to offer. Service score was slightly low because of some strange business with being to move from a table because its a fire hazard.. Not sure what its doing there then.. But the guy was super nice about it and it wasn't too big a deal. A little out of the way but well worth it!

Been to SingleCut twice and enjoyed both experiences. They have their latest offerings on tap and usually one or two bottle offerings. They had a cask tapped on one visit, but I'm not sure how often that is available. The space has an industrial look but is very comfortable. The food is simple but reasonably priced (for NYC) and good. Beers are obviously fresh and delicious. Staff are attentive and seem to enjoy their jobs.

If you take their tour it's short and sweet but worth doing. The guide was fun and answered all my questions. He gave great overview and was willing to discuss nitty-gritty. There was some craft/anti-contract brewing proselytizing, but nothing objectionable.

It's a bit of a trek to get to them; Google & their website say to take the train, but I find the bus is better. I say it's worth it and recommend checking it out.

Vibe - The classic polished industrial brewery vibe with an extra helping of classic rock. Lots of live music and board games.

Quality - really good beer, served fresh and delicious, no doubts there.

Service - I'm hurting them on the service for the sole reason that everything is over priced for a brewery. The whole point of getting a drink at a brewery is that the lower prices allow you to sample a larger selection of their offerings. Usually the prices are the same you'll find at the bars that serve their beer, sometimes their prices are steeper than you'll find at bars serving their beers. I just bought two bottles of their imperial stout at a grocery store for 2 bucks cheaper than what it would cost at the brewery. kinda messed up.

Selection- they have a solid selection of their brews, nothing stand out here. Top points go to brewerys that put their experimental stuff on tap to see how people like it,I don't know that they DON'T do that here, but I've never seen it.

nice little place! visited with my brother on a Wednesday night so i expected it to be a little quiet. Well we were basically the only people there except one guy sitting by the bar. this allowed us to chat with the knowledgeable bartender and was able to discuss some recipes and techniques with one of the brewers. cool place i would definitely come back again. scene was pretty typical for a small brewery taproom, but did love the fact that vinyl was spinning the whole night we were there. The beers we had, about 8 different ones, were all solid, but nothing that really blew me away. I did buy a bottle of their brett barleywine so that should be sick. Again, since it was empty that made service super attentive to us. Great place and highly recommended if your in the area.

I don't ask for much. Great product, knowledgeable service, honest acceptance, and a non-pretentious environment. Obviously this is a place where people love their craft, work and brew a product that is worthy of recognition. This is the quintessential spot on the outskirts of the city embedded and hidden in a Astoria, Queens where if you build it they will come mentality wins every time. Hopefully all beer enthusiasts will find the time and wherewithal to get out and visit the crew at SingleCut. I tip my hat to the belief, that a long forgotten American dream, lives strong in the passion of making something to be proud of.

Thank you.

Hopped on a subway to Astoria and spent about three hours at Singlecut this Saturday afternoon with a large group of friends. This was my second time at Singlecut, and it was a solid experience once again. The IPA line was fantastic, and both Billy Half and Full Stack were available in bottles. They had Mo Shuggie on tap, which is my favorite Singlecut brew. The major problem that I had was the same problem I've lways had with Singlecut, and that would be consistency. They seem to be missing a factor of consistency in their brews. Half stack tasted incredibly different than the last time I had it, as did Is This The Real Life. Definitely a bit frustrating.

The space has a great atmosphere (long communal tables with plenty of stools) in a warehouse-style space. You could catch glimpses of the brew space, while a constantly changing selection of vinyl flowed through the speakers. The food was relatively cheap, and although not mind-blowing, got the job done.

Overall, a solid spot with an impressive IPA line-up. Would love to see a band play there (as bands often do) at some point.

Love this place. Easy to park at. Kind of a cool spot on the weekends because it's located in more of an industrial area of Astoria.

These guys are big on IPA's and Lager's (the best style of yeast imo..) so I am basically in heaven every time I come here.

The servers are cool. I can see how some people on yelp might think they are pretentious, but I did not find that to be the case at all. I think the guys and gals here are just very passionate about their product and quite serious about their quality control, so some people might misconstrue that at as them being hipsters or too trendy.

Simple fact, 99% of all brewers have big beards.

Favorite beers here are Jan Olympic White Lagrr and Mo Shuggie Soulbender IPA.
