It's boozy on the nose, but the flavor is simultaneously sweet and savory. This one slightly edged out Parabola for me in a comparison; it was a little richer and thicker. Parabola has more of a vanilla note, whereas BA Malevolence had more of a chocolate note. Still, the fact that this beer in on the same level as Parabola speaks volumes to what a great job Spiteful Brewing did.

Pours a rich and viscous black with a half finger of sturdy light brown foam.
Huge roasty character edging burnt, dark chocolate, very subtle fruit aroma, and an eye perking bourbon heat.
Dark fruit is much more apparent in flavor, roasted/charred malts, chocolate, oaky/earthy undertones, vanilla, and an unmistakable heavy flavor of bourbon.
Heavy-bodied, light-medium carbonation, thick, chewy, and creamy smooth.
Overall, as a fan of both big Russian imperial stouts and bourbon, this one really did it for me.
