16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of pine, sweet toasted caramel and citrus. Strong malt character with sweet toffee. Piney bitterness with a citrusy kick.

10/14/18 (Chicago): 8.4% ABV $8 10 oz flute pour at Spiteful Brewery. Golden tan pour, mild carbonation, light quickly dissipating head w/ substantial lacing. Sharp hop aroma mix, sweet and bitter, citrus and centennial. Very nice. Nice blended taste, consistent with aroma, bitter dry mouth feel, smooth texture, easy drinking. Overall very good pour.

Canned 9/5/18; drank 9/22/18 @ the Yarchives.
See-through urine appearance.
A violent pour yielded a nice, noisy eggshell head; a thick curtain of lace.
Caramel, pine & watermelon jolly rancher notes in the nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Pine & grapefruit flavors up front; baking soda & faint watermelon jolly rancher notes on the finish.
Old-model IPA boredom that is mild enough to be drinkable. Pass.

Had on tap. Really found this dipa to be fascinating in two ways, one in how the cloying honey sweetness went so nicely with the tropical hops and fruits, and two how it was so drinkable, even with plenty of hops and a 9.4 abv. The tropical fruits, pineapple, star fruit, papaya, guava, and maybe even some dragon fruit, all come forward on the taste and smell. Has a malty grain backbone that lets the sweet notes shine. Nice work
