Binny's - Willowbrook
Spiteful's newest IIPA to hit the shelves pours with the handsomest of golden bodies. It's bright, polished, and clear. Clouds of carbonation rush to the surface. Bolstering the already impressive pure white, microbubbled foam. The head shows some great staying power and leaves behind 100% coverage as the beer disappears. This is mighty fine looking beverine!
The nose is jam packed full of tropical delicious. Huge ripe pineapple jumps from the glass and when I say "jump", I mean, it's everywhere. Dried apricot plays a big role as well. Guava and mango are here and there. It's a veritable fruit salad in there. That key lime is tucked into the back nicely with a sweet-tart component adding to the already tropical heavy attitude of this beer. A drizzle of caramel adds a touch of sweetness but the base is graham crackery. Very nice!
The flavor profile is dominated by lime, much more so than the nose. Key lime pith and peel upfront. The peel lingers through the middle before the smattering of delicious tropical fruits open up from middle to end. They greet the lime but barely keep up the pace. The finish is pure lime juice. Tart and sweet. It's delicious actually with the caramel and graham cracker malt base holding down the fort. Good beer, this is.
The body, like most of Spiteful's IIPAs is amazing light and easy going when taking the abv into consideration. Moderate in weight with a moderately bitter bite and a juicy finish. A cliche but 100% true, dangerously drinkable. As a matter of fact, I'm drinking it far too fast as is. Drubk...
Dumb Donald is another winner in the series of IIPAs making fun of everyone. Spiteful knows how to make a 9%+ beer easy drinking and they are always both clean and bright. They treat hops properly. Pick some up soon.

This beer is great! Typical good Spiteful IPA flavor with added Key Lime taste. Lime is very natural and not artificial in any way. Hope this isn't a one time beer as its very good.

Draft at the Green Lady.
Hazy orange, frothy head of foam that settles and leaves behind some spotty lace. Aroma has a big citrus component, slightly catty, tart lime juice and zest.
Taste is similarly big on the hoppy citrus notes, lime zest comes through in the aftertaste. Light to medium bodied, smooth and easy drinking. Quenching with a pleasant lime peel bitternes. Like most of Spiteful's DIPA's, this one doesn't disappoint. Very easy drinking.
