Canned 12/12/22; drank 1/16/23 @ the Yarchives.
Brown/black appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice tan head; a thick curtain of frothy, tree-rung lace remained.
Fresh earth, cream & mild milk chocolate notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Chocolate milk & some fresh earth flavors.
Balanced enough to not be too sweet...this was enjoyable!

Pours a shiny pitch black color. Opaque by the nature of how dark the beer is. Huge, four finger velvety mocha colored head.Head dissipates steadily, but does leave a paper thin layer of foam on top of the beer.
Aroma is somewhat bland with. notes of roasted malts, chocolate, and lactose.
Taste has noes of roasted malts, milk chocolate, sweet cream, and light earthy hop note. Definitely on the roaster side for a milk stout, I actually found it quite enjoyable.
Feel is light, smooth and almost velvety. Semi-bitter finish dries the palate a bit. Moderately carbonated.
Overall a very nice albeit somewhat more unique English sweet stout. The chocolate is well integrated here and the stout is not overly sweet - a welcome respite from some of the diabetes inducing pastry stouts out there. Solid milk stout that really hit all the notes I like.

A - nice dark brown black opaque beer with a mocha head that sticks and leaves nice lacing
S - chocolate, coffee, creamy goodness, slight cherry/dark fruit
T - chocate, cream, coffee, vanilla, dark fruits, mild roasty malts, mild burnt marshmallow
M - pretty thick mouthfeel, alcohol covered, aftertaste is chocolate, roasted malts
O - would be better if it was a higher abv, I can tell spiteful has talen, this beer seems like it's just begging to be an imperial chocolate milk stout

This would be much better if it didn't taste like raspberry. It's smooth...creamy..roasty...light buy that fruit flavor is overwhelming. Overall a nice milk stout...almost perfect for a holiday desert.
