Opaque saturated orange color, a finger of foam on top that settles slowly leaving behind a sticky parchment-toned collar and lace around the edges. Lasting surface skim after the first few sips.
Pungent hop aroma, chock full of grapefruit and resiny green botanicals.
Underlying soft malt sweetness also.
Citrus forward, candied orange peel and grapefruit, dry resiny pine in the aftertaste, green and sticky. Moderately bitter with a flash of malt sweetness. Medium bodied, creamy feel, drinks like a DIPA. This is a nice IPA, much better than Bitter Biker, more flavorful and balanced.

Notes from 08/09/13 – FW snifter glass
Big thanks to Pidzik12 for the Spiteful Brewing hookup!
A: Pours a cloudy caramel colored body with orange tones and some chunky sediment floating about. Nice thick khaki froth sits atop with great persistence. Sticky webbed lacing decorates the glass all the way throughout the drink.
S: Smells fruity, pungent, and tropical. I get some spicy papaya, tangerine, grapefruit, and passion fruit. Really nice and fruity nose with a dash of herbal skunk mixed in.
T: Wow! What a nice tropical fruit bomb. Juicy with more grapefruit, guava, and passion fruit blended in. There are some piney undertones with a nice trailer of skunky herbs. The beer has an upper level of biting bitterness and just a peek of alcohol coming through in flavor. No real defined malt character, just some dry sugary bits and maybe a hint of caramel. This is all about the hops and showcases the galaxy quite nicely. Perhaps a little unrefined much like a tasty tasty homebrew. Me likey.
M: Mouthfeel is moderate with a decent creamy consistency and touch drying on the finish. Overall a little watery with a high bitterness and long resinous stick across the palate.
D: A real nice hop forward IPA. Very tropical with the Galaxy really shining through. A little muddled at times and perhaps unbalanced by the hops but one I thoroughly enjoyed. The instigator is starting some shit!
Stoked on the chance to have this one.

Batch #49. Pours a sunset orange color with a finger length head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice ring of lacing. Lots of carbonation coming off the glass. Smells of grapefruit, passionfruit, lots of pine, a cat piss note, lemons, a sweet breadiness note too. Taste starts with lots of galaxy hop notes. Pine and passionfruit up front along with some grapefruit. Then the middle brings just a tiny bit of breadiness and sweetness to play along with the hop qualities. The finish gets more abrasive, as the resinous pine and cat piss qualities do come out from the simcoe, along with more passionfruit, grapefruit, grass, and lemon. Just a tiny bit more of a toasted breadiness and sweetness from the malt emerge on the finish. Bitterness lingers, but not in a bad way. Medium body with a sticky and oily mouthfeel. Very interesting combination of hops that go well with one another. This is a pretty solid IPA.

Appearance: Light orange color with a very murky body. A finger of head on the pour which left scattered lacing on the edges of the glass. Below average carbonation was active while drinking.
Smell: Ultra sweet malt which comes off like bubble gum. Hoppy body which continues on to a malt/molasses dominant feeling. Brown sugar and syrup feelings in the aroma really make this aroma pop.
Taste: The nose follows into the taste pretty well. The front is a molasses thickness which evolves into a sweet sugary body. The malt and hops mix well, but theres no doubt the sweetness of this beer dominates. The aftertaste is a bubbly hoppy feeling comes in waves.
Mouthfeel: Medium dry finish with some spicy hops left behind.
Overall: This beer reminds me a ton of their APA Ghost Bike. Many of the same malt accents. The hops come through a little more here which would be expected. Solid brew no doubt.

22 oz. bottle served in a Funky Buddha snifter. Batch # 28.
A: Pours a dark amber color with a white head forming on the pour. It recedes to a thin film and collar that leaves stick sheets of lace down the glass.
S: Floral hops with a sticky sweet grapefruit up front. There is a malty sweetness that sort of overpowers the hop profile a bit. A little earthy as well.
T: Pretty malty up front. Sweet and bready, with some grapefruit flesh and citrus notes. A little candied sugar with some floral hops in the background. Dirty Simcoe is present as well.
M: Medium bodied with a sticky mouthfeel. Slightly drying on the finish with a hint of sweetness. Medium carbonation.
O: Drinks a little bit bigger than 7.7%. Pretty sweet, but still a nice. I get the Galaxy and Simcoe...I'm not that familiar with Falconer's flight besides On the Wings of Armageddon. This doesn't quite resemble that hop profile so I would say the Galaxy and Simcoe overshadow those hops. If you like a sticky sweet grapefruit type IPA that this is your jam.
