Don't fight it. Spite it! A Chicago bike messenger's favorite part of the day, "Alley Time" is a reward for life on the streets. This beer is brewed with Pilsen Malt and a single addition of Simcoe hops. Perfect for sharing those expletive-heavy stories with a cold one in hand. Alley Time can be any time, but it can only be one place! and whether you're a corporate lemming or an interpretive dancer, find an alley and make it yours.

I'm surprised this isn't rated higher. An extremely refreshing and bold pale ale. This is packed with dank, hoppy, resinous aromas. The flavor is like hop resins, rubber cement, grapefruit peel, and cannabis. The simcoe hops really shine with just a hint of malt.

Try drinking out of the can. It seems to pack more of a punch that way. Awesome job Spiteful!

Poured into a tulip from a can.

A. A light yellow almost lemon color with medium haze and a 1/4" head.

S. As I swirl the glass a smell a slight aroma of biscuity malt followed by a more prominent citrus smell. A bit Perfumy also. Very pleasant on the nose.

T. More malty on the palate. Not very citrusy. A little Perfumy tasting.

M. Medium bodied and slightly prickly.

O. Overall I think this is a pretty good beer. Nice to look at. Aromas are great. Taste is on very nice. And the mouthfeel is just what I want from a pale ale. Nicely done spiteful.

12oz can poured into SP wine stem.

Appearance: Translucent light straw yellow bodied beer with 2 fingers of bone white head that drops quickly to a thin cap. Spotty lacing on the side of the glass.

Smell: Very dank and catty nose from the hops. Citrus is also there, but it takes a back seat to the dank and catty hop notes.

Taste: Light sweetness and light bitterness that strike a really nice balance. This is much more mellow than you would expect from the nose. Light pine and tangerines with a hint of tropical fruits and melons. Biscuit and bready malt profile. Grapefruit rind in the finish and especially when you burp.

Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with low carbonation. The carbonation is creamy, but slightly thin. You can feel the resinous hop oils which seem to make this beer have a more substantial feel with being to heavy. Really crushable APA as well.

Overall: The nose makes you think that this beer is pretty intense with all the classic simcoe dankness and catty profile present, but the flavor profile dialed down and has well defined simcoe hop flavors with being as over the top as the nose. I got to sample this beer super fresh because this beer that I am drinking was canned only 2 days prior to me consuming it. This is a great example of how tasty that a single hop simcoe APA can be.
