A: Cloudy light copper in color. Forms a moderate sized fluffy white head. Excellent retention and lots of lacing.

S: Aroma has a light sweetness. Lighter citrus notes, some pine, and a bit of earthiness.. Despite this being a single hop beer, the aroma is not tell-tale Simcoe.

T: Taste is lighter than expected, though this is supposed to be an APA. Lighter caramel malts. A touch of sweetness. Orange rind, grapefruit, and a bit of pine. Finish is earthy and watery.

M: On the lighter side of medium. Restrained bitterness. Appropriate carbonation. Feels a bit thin, though.

O: This beer is listed as an APA. The bottle calls it an APA. But, the ABV is in the area of an IPA. And while I understand this beer is supposed to be an APA, it just comes off as feeling more like an underpowered IPA than a strong APA. It's not bad. Actually, I quite like it. But at this price point, it's not something I'd be willing to bother with again.

bomber into a DFH tulip shaped pint glass. Batch 39 hand written on side.

Pours a cloudy copper with a nice inch+ white frothy head. The smell is very hoppy and big on citrus notes. Wouldnt guess this was a pale from the nose. The taste is intriguing. Good amount of hops presence at first but its also malty. I get hints of citrus, lemon and pine. More like an IPA than a pale, or maybe in between. Its reminiscent of a toned down zombie dust to me... so high praise. Very easy drinking, i took a few big sips back to back to try and pin point the exact flavors in this.

Definitely recommended, a real treat.

Appearance: Pretty clean look to this APA with some slight murkiness in the body. Nice head on the pour to about a finger. Random lacing on the edges of the glass. Average amounts of carbonation in the glass while drinking.

Smell: Light and very bright almost pilsner style malt presence greets the drinker right away. The hop presence comes off with the gummy/sugary sweetness. Easy flowing tropical fruits are very present as well. Not a ton of complexity, but the accents that are there are well done and very enjoyable.

Taste: Easy to find the Simcoe accents in this one. Accents of a crisp hop front hit right away then smooth out with a sweet body. The malt presence makes its way into this brew on the back end and finishes with some slightly nutty tones. Some bright hops sit on the palate very nicely for a while after drinking.

Mouthfeel: Medium dryness, feels a little more like an IPA when an APA on the mouthfeel.

Overall: Definitely a hoppy APA, but the malt presence certainly keeps it in the APA realm. Love the soft hoppy tones which mix excellently with the malt in this brew. Overall its a simple beer, but done oh so well.

Bright pale gold body, streaming carb trails visible, ample head of white foam. Some soapy arcs of drippy lacing form in the glass, and there's a steady skim on the surface after a few sips.

Aromas of candied orange peel, woody vines, cat pee (the name seems to be an allusion to where bike messengers go to relieve themselves).

Very light and somewhat crisp, big citrus in the form of candied orange peel again, firm resiny bitterness that sticks in the teeth a little bit. Some trace pale malts and possibly wheat in the background. Some lingering hop flavor, could use a touch more to really shine. Light enough to be an APA,hopped to an IPA level. Nice and drinkable, seems like a session beer until the abv creeps up. Solid Simcoe APA.
