Bottle from Uto Beer at Borough Market, London (330ml, £3.50):
Hazy golden amber with a thin, half centimetre, bubbly white head that holds for a few minutes.

Hoppy citrus aroma and some good bitter notes along with a floral base and some fresh tropical fruits, mainly apricot and mango with some lighter grapefruit.

I thought the bitterness was going to overpower everything initially but in actual fact this faded away as the beer was swallowed. All the usual suspects from the aroma were present, notably the pine hops, a mix of tropical fruits and some lighter floral notes.

Medium & smooth with minor citrus tang, a lot of bitterness yet still not as much as the nose suggested and a dry, fruity finish with a good balance.

Has the usual bitterness and tropical fruits I am accustomed too but with less grapefruit that usual. The bitterness, didn't carry through to the taste as well as I'd have liked but this one is still a nice beer and made for easy drinking.

330ml bottle. Nonic glass. Bright gold, clear appearance. White & close crown. Intense citra aroma as well as hay, grass, pale malts & bread hues. Sweet malty upfront yields to increasing citric & floral biterness. Light to medium body. Moderate carbonation. Oily texture & pine neddles on to the palate. Citric astringency & bitter finish. Slight resinous aftertaste.

Coming in a 330ml brown bottle, bottle-conditioned; BB 06/14, served lightly-chilled.

A: murky dark amber colour, coming with low level of carbonation & a thin fluffy head.
S: aromatic Cascade-like hops abound, with citrus & flowery scent as well as ripe guava & “stinky” yeasts &/or pale malts.
T: leather-ish stinky esters come in abundance, on top of pale malts & a rather restrained fruity hop backbone. Not quite bitter in the end, but a touch of acidity is not to be missed.
M&O: softly carbonated, med-bodied, not very hoppy and a somewhat yeasty take on the style.

On tap at the Brewing + Distilling Convention, Dublin.

Creamy solid off white head that laces over red-kissed gold.
Orange creamsickle nose with a bit of resin.
Cookie dough and loads of round sweet (Amarillo?) orange hops.
Oddly musty end and mildy bitter peel linger.
Soft, slight chew, light to medium.

Magnum, Columbus, Bravo, Amarillo.

Creamy, easy orange loveliness. Good hop presence for the strength. The fusty tang is the only thing keeping it from perfect (perhaps from Bravo?) Seriously, though, tastes mostly like a Creamsicle.

Gravity halfpint at the London Drinker festival.

A: Clear amber body, one-finger white head. Good retention, light lace. Ok.

S: Purely hoppy, with a good mix of herbal, vegetal notes and brighter, fruitier citrus aromas. Excellent.

T: Follows the nose at first, but with the emphasis squarely on the earthy, vegetal hop notes. A bit spicy on the long, bitter finish. What fruit their is shows up as it warms, and is overripe and heavy. It's all right, but definitely overly heavy in the end.

M: Smooth, soft, creamy medium body. Decadent.

O: I had high hopes for this one, and at first it appeared to be satisfying them, but the more I drank it the less I enjoyed it. Still a good beer, just not a great one.

Poured from a 330ml bottle into a Fullers snifter glass.

Pours a hazy dark golden colour with a decent white head. Nice lacing.

Smells hop forward: a sinus clearing piney freshness.

Taste reflecting the smell, hops: pine, citrusy fruits; with a decent level of light, sweet malts balancing it out.

Overall a pretty decent beer.
