On tap at the 2014 Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest held at the Paso Robles Event Center in Paso Robles, CA.

Pours an opaque black with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, and char aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa and char flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with nice cocoa and char qualities all around.

COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
bottled, special
Tobacco and burnt toffee nose. Viscous almost gelantinous. Smooth velvety mouthfeel. Tastes treacle, liquorice, smokey dark fruit.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines 330ml, gets better as it warms up and the aromas and tastes develop into an amazement of exactly what the labels says!
