Small shop, but pretty packed with interesting offerings.

From the sounds of it, the owner mules up NODA cans which is good news for the triangle. There were also some B.C. breweries that were represented that startled me a little bit. How the hell did Howe Sound and Parallel 49 (never even seen in Seattle) find it's way to these shelves, and why?

taplist was a little weak on this particular visit - seems like half the lines had been killed and not replenished. oh well - still did have some st bernie xmas and fullsteam fruitcake. In what appears to be a (tolerated?) trend in the area, everything is served in plastic cups as I'm assuming there isn't sufficient plumbing to wash dishes? Regardless, this sucks big time. It just seems like if you are going to make the effort to get high end kegs (which i understand they do), then you have to find a way to get some actual glassware in the house. Major bummer.

Cool vibe to the place - enough space to move around and some tables out front. Fun place to hang out and kill some time. Even better yet, no TV, so you don't have to suffer through any tarhole athletics

A regular to this place. I stop by multiple times a week whether its to pick up beer or hang out and drink a few. Don't serve food, but the burger shop next door will deliver. On most occasions you can find fellow beer enthusiasts to make conservation with over a few beers. There are over ten taps (some exclusive to the area) that are reasonable priced. If the taps don't interest you, you can open a bottle or even bring in your own. On more than one occasion, while discussing a beer not available in the area, the owner has pulled it out from his hidden stash to share. He goes out of his way by driving hours away to NC breweries such as Noda and Wickedweed to provide his customers with great beer that is not distributed yet. Overall, great place to enjoy/buy beer and meet other people who appreciate good beer.

Stopped by on my way through town, definitely worth the stop, wish it wasnt 2 hours away from me honestly.

Very good selection of bottles and drafts, very impressed the owner drives to breweries to pick up stuff that isnt distributed to the triangle(NODA, Wicked Weed, Birdsong, etc.) Plenty of beer in coolers to pick from and a tv where people were playing nintendo 64.

Very friendly and helpful, answered all my questions. Even asked if I wanted an Enjoy By which wasn't on shelves.

only have one complaint, and its that I don't live close enough to it. Great bottle shop.

First review of this bottle shop. Located on the edge of where Chapel Hill and Carrboro meet right off Franklin street, the location is very nice. Parking is on the side or back of the building and free, so thats a huge plus right there. As you go inside you notice a bunch of Nintendo game systems and a TV to your right, along with some tables and a sit down bar set up in the back. Lighting is dark, typical bar setting and appropriate. Records are always playing. There is a wall of bottles on your left, sorted by brewery. You can buy any single you want from a 6 pack too, though most of what is on the wall is singles/bombers anyway. A couple refrigerated cases too. The overall amount of beers sold here isnt near as much as a Sams or Tasty, but they do have a lot of quality stuff. However, being quite new, I imagine the distributors will eventually catch on and start supplying them with more and more. For now it seems like quality over quantity. Great amount of NC beers and the import selection isnt bad either.

Atmosphere is where this place shines above the rest. Only 2 people, the owner JD and 1 employee, Andy. Both super nice guys and they both know their beer. JD drives to Charlotte regularly to pick up kegs and cases from CLT breweries that arent distributed to the RDU area, which is a huge plus. Everything he puts on is fresh. 12 taps and 1 cask going at all times, and the kegs rotate very frequently. A focus on NC taps, but they put on stuff from all over too, including imports. Pricing is reasonable and honestly even quite cheap compared to a lot of others. Typical 4-6 bucks a pint, not bad at all. The prices on the bottles are also about the same as other places.

Overall its a great place to come and enjoy great beer with other beer geeks or just to relax after work and enjoy a pint. It's my new favorite bar/bottle shop in the Triangle.
