I hit the BBB on a trip to Fort Fun. I was long overdue for a visit, as I've sampled their wares at various Colorado brewfests and their taps were always ones which warranted a 2nd [or, 3rd] visit. Their pub is no different; at the time of my visit, they had about a dozen+ of their brews on as well as a impressive range of guest taps, some of which were collaborations from brewers rarely seen in Colorado except for the magic weeks of GABF.
I stuck to BBB's pours, as there many I wasn't familiar with and sampled their Hipster IPA, the award winning Friar Chuck Kolsch and a very interesting complex a flavor blast, a sour brown, called Mom, the Meatloaf. Not only can these guys brew great stuff, their sense of humor is forward! If you want further evidence of that, go to their website and sample some of the videos.
The food and service in the pub - as expected - were top drawer. I'll readily return.

[editing my place review after a 2nd visit]
Vibe- Modern and tasteful, youthful and energetic. Slightly ecclectic without being pretentious. Decent amount of space while still feeling "cozy".

Quality- The beer was good and the food that I tried was pretty good (bacon cheddar fries) but the fries didn't seem very fresh. They served the samples in nice sized glasses and all the BBB beers tasted flavorful and fresh.

Service- prompt and very friendly, and patient with the beer list. They also seemed to know the beers on tap very well, which was a plus.

Slection: They have 40 taps, and in addition to about 10 from BBB they have some really good and interesting beers from local and international places. They had a belgian (from Belgium), Stone, and some East Coast stuff. I just bumped this to a 4.5 because I forgot to mention they have full bar ane even serve wine too. An interesting choice for an up and coming brewery, and a welcome change.

Food: We only tried the cheddar bacon fries, but they were great and also fairly priced.

Overall: this is a great place. Not only are their beers good and interesting, but their taplist is very good. They even list all their current taps on their website which is awesome. The prices were very reasonable and the service was great. Unfortunately this place has a lot of competition, in almost any other city it would be a runaway success. After going a 2nd time and having a GREAT time and having awesome beers I am thinking this is quickly becoming a favorite spot for me in Fort Collins. I shall return.

finally made it over here, been meaning to for a long time. i was really impressed from top to bottom, starting with the space, comfortable size, not huge in the tap room, but with the brew house in the back it looks like there is room to grow back there. up front its nicely put together, cool art, comfortable seating, and a modern feel to it. they have a ton of taps, i like this model, especially for a smaller operation. maybe eight or ten house beers, and at least another 20 from guests, ranging from colorado to global, pretty cool. the list was well curated and the beers were interesting. for the house beers, all of them that i had were good. i had been a little up and down with these guys, some definitely better than others, but all four i had on my visit here were excellent, especially the count chocula cereal stout. the food was also very good, one of the better meatball subs ive had here in colorado, and the dude working was really nice. he gave me a bunch of samples, told me stories about the place and the beers, and was genuinely enjoyable to chat with. this came in way above my expectations, and i see why they have such a loyal following. this is going to get added to the fort collins rotation for sure!

I've been to BB many many times since they opened- their brews were good, lots of saison style but I have to say I enjoy their guest taps more than their brew most of the time, maybe just not my taste but it's a good local place Kinda tight on seating if the outdoor area isn't useable and it's prime time. The food quality slipped and after some lackluster meals I decided to no longer eat there, and consider it just a tap place now, a few friends had similar experiences. The food at first was really solid, a nice change for the FC area, wish it didn't slip on me, it might have improved again but I've moved on. Staff is good, never a problem.

A real nice place kinda nested in town, with extremely tasty beers! Lots of stuff on tap, including plenty of their own beers, and a good selection of other breweries too, and bottles to go of both.

One of the many, many, MANY great places in fort collins, must-visit (yeah, there's a LIST!).

I like Black Bottle. This place is growing on me every time I stop in. So, let me start by saying I've had few bad experiences with the food. I was served cold or dare I say still frozen mac n' cheese on my second visit in. I'm not one to send back food most the time I'm happy to eat what someone has worked so hard to make. This however I couldn't do, I sent it back my server was very nice about it. However when it came back it was the same dish cheese added to the hole I made and microwaved again. That being said the beer selection is great and the people are very nice. They have been making some fun and innovative beers as of late. Stop in have a beer (or 2) but skip the food.

The Black Bottle Brewery is a great place to stop for some great local Fort Collins brews. Their selection of brewed on the premise beers are really great. The Cerealicious Cinnamon is amazing, especially in cold weather. In addition, they have other local Fort Collins favorites from New Belgium and other Colorado breweries. The Black Bottle Brewery will not disappoint.

Fort Collins' newest brewery and brewpub, Black Bottle, much like CB and Potts, is kind of on its own, in a busy location just south of CSU's campus. A small space located in a strip mall, the interior might be more attractive than you expect. Plenty of tables and a long bar are set up for all of your pub fare and beer needs. Not only does Black Bottle have an extensive selection of their own beers, but they also have a number of guest beers both on tap and bottled. Of the breweries in town, they easily have the largest selection, and are beat out in the city only by places specializing in huge beer selections like Old Chicago, The Mayor of Old Town, and Tap and Handle.

I've gone a handful of times and do enjoy their beers, though they've yet to trump my previous favorites like Equinox, Coopersmith's, Funkwerks, or even New Belgium. In a similar way, the single time I had their food it was decent but not something you'll immediately need to return the next week to try.

That said, the atmosphere rivals that of any other restaurant or brewery in town, with their casual tables inside, two bar TVs, and nice little patio outside when the weather allows.

Certainly a good place to try, with decent beer and a great selection. The food may not be all that memorable, but it's still worth an occasional stop. One time visitors, though, may want to stick to the more established breweries.

It's in an odd part of town, but inside feels just fine. Looks and operates as a restaurant.

Quality of the brews is good. I've had 4 of their beers and was pleasantly surprised by each of them. I assumed they'd slack on the quality a bit and rely on acting as a beer restaurant to pay the bills. That latter may be the case, but they're making good beer. They certainly aren't using the dining operation as a crutch - they're producing high quality stuff.

Service is good, friendly.

Great selection, around 4-6 of their own beers and dozens of others on tap - really impressive.

Food's good (they've got a great lunch special).

I'm glad they're in town, and think they're worth a visit.

First visit to BBB, I've been looking forward to getting back up to FC to try this place out.

First thing's first: the beer: I found the BBB beers to be average overall. Recession Proof porter had some roasted flavor to it but was watery and thin. I'm not expecting a stout, but some viscosity would be nice. Also tried Roll the windows Down Dad : respectable smoked beer, light bandaid taste. And I'm Barely Wine: I'm not super familiar with BWs, but I thought it was good, nice mix of hop and malt.
All 3 were OK, but nothing stood out.
Having a multitude of guest beers, quite frankly, saves it.
Beer prices were on target for the average brewery.

Our complaint was with our food. It wasn't bad, just very lackluster and expensive for what we got. Paying $8 and $11 for Mac and Cheese dishes, we fully expect to get one hell of a bowl of mac and cheese for those prices (ala Rackhouse). We both had the same complaint about our respective dishes: cheap boxed pasta (not expecting fresh-made, but something resembling quality) with artificial tasting cheese-like product. For the money it either better be freaking delicious or get quantity: they were neither.

The place had a nice layout and atmosphere, if the weather had been better we would have loved to sit outside on their patio. The staff was quick and attentive.

We may visit again on our next FC visit, but we will definitely eat someplace else.

It's all about the beer.
I tried several, its great that you can get a nice taste for 2 bucks.
The selection was great and the folks behind the bar answered my questions happily.

I was only in town for a few days and this was a memorable stop, I'll be back.

This is cool new spot right around the corner from my house. That bar tenders, manager, and waitresses are very cool. I have been in multiple times since they have opened and got to try a decent amount of their stuff.

Beer- They usually have at least 4 of their own beers on. Seems like a mix of standard and experimental Belgian and American beers. The Belgian stuff is pretty good but not mind blowing. I would say their American styles have impressed me the most. I have seen multiple brett and barrel beers. They definitely are not scared of sours and love treatments which is cool. Other than their beers they have at least 40 taps of guest. Good quality stuff on the wall.

People- like I said everyone is pretty friendly and welcoming. The manager "Shawn" always says hi when I roll in for a taste. They have a brewer too who is always up for a chat over a beer.

Facility- The lay out is like a regular bar or brew pub. They have a good amount of seating inside and a patio as well, plus a full bar. I like their liquor selection too, lots of cool Colorado whiskeys, small distilleries. This brew pub has a kitchen behind the bar and then the brew house in the basement. I got the tour and the brew house was cool, kept really clean and organized. They have some barrels sitting down there too.

Food- I have not tired a lot of the menu cause we try not to spend money on food but I will say I have had the guac and the sliders. The guac was terrible... seemed like it was straight out of the freezer or can. The sliders are epic though, def legit. I love the brisket. Well done, quality snack for sure. Not too cheap though. I like to snag a few when I can.

Overall- Black Bottle is a great new addition to the famous craft beer city of Ft. Collins. I really like spending time their and the best thing is they are a brew pub so they are open till 12am during the week and 2am on the weekend. Plus you can take your non beer geek friends cause they have a full bar.

Upscale beer list. Not to mention the American Classics like Schlitz and PBR in a can or a red Solo cup. You can get a 40 in a brown bag even! A must stop brewery with some great food to pair up with that nice libation. No only does Black Bottle sell their own brews but they sell other brews whether local or not. Wine and mixed drinks are also on the menu.

A new brewey/beer bar/pub.
The place is neither large nor small. Things are nice and shiny, not quite fancy but effort was placed in maintaining a higher quality appearance. They had 4 taps of their own beer and 36 taps of high quality guest taps. Great selection. Service varies depending on the bartender/server, but has gotten better. Pricing is rather typical for a craft beer, an improvement from how it started out. Their $1.99 sliders are the perfect drinking meal; affordable, nicely sized, and super tasty. Addictive. Overall, another nice spot in Fort Collins.
