A- Dark brown, almost black. Tannish colored head.
S- Great oatmeal malt smell. I like the sweet chocolate and coffee smell.
T- This is a solid brew. Tony did a great job. Nice brown sugar oatmeal taste with coffee mixed in. Almost the taste of breakfast, which is great. There is no bitter acrid burnt aftertaste which you can get from some stouts.
M- Nice chewy feel, I love an oatmeal stout that has some body to it. Too often are there thin and weak stouts.
O- I enjoyed this a great deal. Solid and I can't wait to see what else they can make.

This pours very near black in the Troubadour tulip with s plentiful off-white head. Quite sudsy and smooth, with the tingly carbonation, all making for a delightful mouthfeel. Light aroma of apples, oatmeal, and roasted malt.
Warm with vast amounts of malt, rather sweet, and chocolatey. There must be some charred grain in the brewing, but the flavors are pretty much all roasty and toasty rather than burnt. Some dark fruity flavors with apple, cocoa, and red wine. There is just a modest bitterness at the end with a tang of bitter chocolate. The sweetness really stays to the aftertaste, you can still taste dark caramel on your lips.
Overall this is a surprisingly rich but highly drinkable dark brew. The moderate alcohol content makes for a fine quaff that is still abundantly flavorful. Another reason to try Bellevue brews. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Bottleworks in Seattle.
