On tap at Melrose Grill in Renton WA, poured into pint glass.
Copper-tan in color, the brew appears medium-bodied with light carbonation, as a small wispy head quickly dissipates. Toffee-sweet grainy malts at the front of the nose, as a range of floral notes describe the hop profile. The sweet notes run to the front of the palate, unusually sweet for the style. Hop notes punch back a bit before the sweet aspects become overly cloying, but this is one sugary-sweet IPA. Finishes long and sweet.
IPA's are hit and miss in the Northwest...this is a miss. It's full-flavored, and might not be a bad intro-brew to someone that isn't used to hoppy beers, but if hoppy brews are already refreshing and satisfying to your palate, look elsewhere.

Color is the orange shade of amber, topped with a fine-grained head in the Affligem chalice. It's quite lovely. Aroma has some piney hops and a whiff of fermenting pineapple. Quite spritzy in the mouth with a distinct tang, though less acidic than a lot of IPAs.
Mellow malt with a sweet undertone and lots of fruit. This tastes fairly strong, though the alcohol doesn't seep through. Quite aromatic. Even a taste of fruitcake. Very carbonated, which adds to the refreshing quality. It's kind of a hop soda sensation. This would be good on tap with a little less concentrated carbonation. Long mango taste with a touch of passion fruit and sharp unripe pineapple. Sweet apple juice and the bitter aftertaste.
This is a thoroughly drinkable brew, deeply imbued with hop flavors. Personally I don't see anything wrong with an IPA that's not horribly bitter, though this might not appeal to the hopoholic seeking more punishment. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Bottle Works in Seattle.

Craft IPAs seem to be a dime a dozen, but it has been my experience that most are not actually that good. This is definitely not the case with Bellevue Brewing's IPA! I loved this. It was hoppier than I had expected, but was not terribly overpowering. The aftertaste was citrus-y. Bellevue Brewing's description also stated that there were piney and floral flavors, but I didn't notice either of these. Overall, this was a smooth IPA that I really enjoyed.

A: Poured a transparent burnt orange color with a nice whispy white cap, some bubbles remain after a few sips as does some spotty lacing
S: Pine needles, a nice orange peel and light dash of tropical fruits grace the nose. I detect a bit of bready malt as well.
T: Immediate pine resin rides on bready backbone with with a citrus fruit basket; orange peel, light lemon zest and a mango thrown in for good measure. The bittering is nice, good balance on this beer. The finish airy, clean, a little sweet with a seltery like finish
M: Medium bodied, well carbonated. A well chosen hop bill provides a good taste and feel.
O: Easy to drink IPA which is built to please the masses and will do a good job at it. No major flaws, clean and quaffable
