my first beer from foley brothers is a good one, much delayed after I dropper and broke a bottle in the street last summer, good to finally get another going safely. a blonde brew heavy on both the wheat malt and the ginger aroma, raw and spicy, almost too intense with the ginger. not much head on this thing, which is in this case an indication of how under carbonated the beer is, my only real issue with an otherwise wonderful summer refresher. lots and lots of ginger in the nose, a little more mild with it in the taste, flush with wheat malt, I like how robust it is, not a light beer by any stretch. hearty and earthy in the base, with the spice of fresh shaved ginger root in the finish, almost hot in the throat going down but stopping just short of that. if this had some more bubbles it would be stunning, but it feels a little too flat to serve he purpose in hot weather, but I do like the fuller body for the style. it looks like foley brothers makes some really cool beer, I hope to track a few more down while I am back east this week.

Poured from a bomber into a Sam perfect pint. The glass matters with this beer. The head is white and reminiscent of a good Champagne. Remained through the entire glass, with nice lacing. Smell is light, fruity and mixed with ginger. Taste is subtle but complex for a wheat beer. The ginger blends with the local hops and yeast very nicely. Mouthfeel is dominated by the effervescence, again reminding of Champagne. Overall this is a wonderful wheat beer, refreshing and easy to drink, but not at all simple. Elegant is the word that comes to mind.

First time drinking a Ginger Wheat. Perfect carbonation with excellent lacing
Loved the sweet malt balanced by just enough ginger to make this style interesting.
Low in alcohol and light in hops makes this brew an easy sipper in the summer time. They use local hops in this brew which puts them in my good books for the future!
A must try if you like ginger!

Pours a deep golden yellow with a quickly fading head.
Aroma is a nice mixture of candied ginger and wheat.

Taste is a blend of ginger(with a hint of sweetness) and wheat backed by subtle spices and light fruit flavors. The hops provide a very palate cleansing crispness without being bitter. Good carbonation and medium body.

Overall an enjoyable, drinkable local Vermont beer.
