Look - dark reddish color with slight head and good skimming
Smell - sweet malt and citrus and pine hops
Taste - sweet peach caramel and slight pine
Feel - light body and carb and could use more of both
Overall - build that body and carb and that would be much better

Poured into pint glass from 12oz bottle from Woodmans, Rockford IL. Thick white head, bright, almost ruby red color. Somewhat creamy mouthfeel separates this from others of its ilk. Taste is a little muted, possibly by the mouthfeel. Drinks easy for 7%.

Tapped 16oz into a mug
Look: Pours a thin head, deep mahogany color. Hazy opacity of an IPA but very unique color.
Smell: Sweet malt, pine sap
Taste: Bright and sweet citrus overtone, pine notes, bitter hop character, very sweet plum undertone
Feel: Moderately carbonated, velvety. Smooth for a 7% beer
Overall: A very good IPA. Balanced, sweet, hoppy, bitter but not overpowering, and goes down smooth. One of the best strong IPAs here in the Iowa market.

Poured into a pint glass, rich red-bronze clear with half a finger of caramel colored head.
Aroma understated, citrus, some sweet malt, not strong on hop aromatics
Flavor citrus rind, slight pine, with peach and pecan sweet nuttiness, balanced with hop bitterness
Feel is light on carbonation and alcohol, fairly dry finish
Very enjoyable, flavorful ale. I like to support our Iowa brewers, and am rewarded with a tasty offering from Backpocket, who has never disappointed with several of their styles.

Pours a frothy, tan head that has great persistence. A really nice, sweet hop aroma that is reminiscent of candied citrus rind. Beautiful alizarin crimson color. Starts off with a huge burst of hop bitterness; sweet in the front then huge notes of citrus rind afterwards. The finish is lingering citrus rind with a hint of malt.
This is interesting. I typically am not a fan of citrus rind bitterness, but the sweet malt balances against this pretty well, so I kinda like this one.

12oz bottle, no apparent freshness date
A - reddish-brown body with a frothy tan head that holds great retention
S - minimal aroma with some caramel malt and juicy hops
T - juicy and rich in flavor (both malt and hops) with notes of caramel, burnt caramel, citric fruit, mango, and pine
M - medium body, ample carbonation, finishes semi-dry and moderately bitter with a hefty malt backbone
O - not a bad beer. The potential is there, but that lack of aroma kept it from standing out for me.

It tastes amateur-ish, the aroma is nice giving you hope, but the taste is lacking. Dry, not hoppy, I don't get the fruit at all, I do understand the knife though because the finish is sharp and takes time to heal.

Aroma is spices, pine and a hint of heat. The flavor is spices, medium grapefruit, vegetables, malts and a somewhat odd mix of bitter, dry and astringent in the finish.
