Bottle thanks to Joel@Cellarbrations Carlisle. Reviewed from notes

Vigorous pour yields a half-finger bright white head atop a dirty straw body. Falls to a resilient film.

Abundant tropical and citrus hops. Fruit punch, orange-mango, pineapple, sweet melons and lemon-lime. Vibrant and juicy. Seriously appetising stuff.

Big fruit salad, with plenty of candied tangerine transitioning to a grainy, herbal and slightly metallic bitterness.

Light to medium and slightly oily, with somewhat sizzly carbonation. Medium bitterness endures for some time.

Majorly impressed by this. Brimming with hop character, while managing to avoid much of the raw and rasping unpleasantness that often results from a lower ABV and minimal malt backbone.

Pours a pale orange, fairly cloudy. Head is off-white, loses substance quite quickly. Thin lace trail; not bad.

Smells very fruity and ripe; fairly bitter as well. Huge lychee juiciness with a prickly grapefruit acid at the back. Very pleasant; tangy and refreshing with a nice edge.

Taste is a little bit subdued, sadly. Dry and biscuity, with an early descent into dry yeastiness. Notes of maris otter with very mild citric hop bitterness on the back. Could use a bit more hop flavour earlier, ends up tasting a bit savoury and bland. Very slammable, it just doesn't fill me up with loved-up tingles.

Drinks fairly well; fluid with a decent body, no residual carbonation.

Very drinkable, but it smells a huge amount better than it tastes. Not that it tastes bad, it just sets you up high and then disappoints you a bit. It's like when your girlfriend promises you a threesome and instead just has sex with you herself.

From Cellarbrations Carlisle. No BB.

Pours a lovely Gold, one finger head fades to film, with little lace

Aromas mainly of pine, grapefruit.

Taste quite hop resin driven, with little malt balance. Not quite harsh but leaning toward American west coast style, and a nudge toward AIPA rather than APA.

Mouthfeel on money, moderate rather than high carbonation

Overall a very well made beer, full-on flavour, for 4.5%, but this palate prefers a little more balance toward malt backbone.

Pours a (surprising) golden with good head/lacing.

Smell is malt, grapefruit, guava, mixed tropical fruits. Not too potent but nicely balanced.

Taste is more of the same, a little bit of crisp bitterness.

Mouthfeel has a subtle but wholesome bitterness.

I was a little bit concerned about this one's age, I'm not sure how fresh it is or whether or not this one's continually brewed.

Still reasonable but seems muted and lacking the hop punch it was renowned for upon its release. At times it made me wonder if I'd lost my sense of smell again (but no, it's just the beer itself).

Good flavours but not enough of them. Reminiscent of Knappstein Reserve Lager from my recollection.

Recent batch is way hoppier and awesome

A - Pours a cloudy pale golden colour with a nice white head that retains very well

S - Aromas of Tangerine and sticky sugars backed by some small hop.

T - Up front some nice tropical. fruits of grapefruit and a little mango, the bitterness is balanced and the finish is a little sticky

M - Light to medium body with medium carbonation.

O - A really tasty brew that is well constructed. Very flavoursome for its ABV

330ml bottle, no freshness date. Not much going on in the nose, golden colour with decent creamy head. Taste is big Nelson Sauvin (I think), with some harshness in the background. Heavy harsh bitterness, making it not as smooth as an easy drinking pale should be. Reasonable beer, but could be a bit cleaner and more defined in flavour. I think its suffering from autolysis, not sure how the bottle has been kept.

330ml bottle purchased from Slowbeer.

Pours a really very light golden colour, with solid hazing. Carbonation is extremely fine, and forms a head upwards in minute, fine layers of film. Body looks light but very fine. Did I mention, fine? Nice, intricate lacing. It's a very sophisticated looking brew.

Nose is crisp and green, with a herbal hop bit which is just as refreshing as a citrus bomb, but pleasantly different. Smells to me like heavy use of sharp Kiwi hops. Some pine, some pepper, some guava and passionfruit rounds out the other flavours. It's very pleasant stuff.

Taste is very clean and very crisp: you could say mild, but that's probably doing a disservice to a beer designed to be drinkable and refreshing. Indeed, it has a crisp backbone of hops, which leaves a tingle of resin along the centre of the palate, but otherwise, it's all dry and light, leaving it exceptionally quaffable.

Mouthfeel is exceptionally fine (oh, there's that word again), with a tight, mild frothy carbonation which reminds me of the creamy feel achieved by Westvleteren Blonde.

This is a simple, easy-drinking beer, but by god it's a good one.
