Small beer store located adjacent to Edly's BBQ...

The atmosphere is good - they've got a pretty small place (the former Halycon Bike Shop location), but it is organized well, with a section for the taps, a corner with several shelves of bottled/canned brews and a wall with empty growlers to select from. The logo design and signage are very attractive. The main draw-back is that there's not a lot of parking, but that's pretty typical for businesses in that neighborhood.

I haven't opened the growler I purchased yet, so I can't speak too much on quality, although I do really like the fact they will swap your used growler for a clean one they have on the shelf -- I've never been to a place that does this and think its a great idea!

Service was great; the owner and manager were very helpful and discussed some of their current offerings with me. Selection is very good as far as growler places go -- usually you only have 4 or 5 selections at a beer store but they have 24 kegs on tap to choose from! Also a plus is that they're good at keeping their tap list available on social media so you know what's there ahead of time before you go. I didn't pay too much attention to the bottles and cans they had but it looked like a good mix of choices from a quick glance. Another bonus is that they offer both 32 oz. and 64 oz. growlers.

Food isn't an option in the store, although the guys there said they were thinking of maybe selling some local snack type food in the future. You can't drink inside the Filling Station, so I don't see the lack of food as a drawback.

Pricing for the growler fills seemed pretty much on par with other local growler spots. I didn't look at the prices they had on 6-packs or mix packs.

Overall, even though the store is small I think they've set up a great operation that's pretty unique for Nashville.
