Have been driving up to the Woodinville "wine country" for years, and had no idea this place existed (was told they've been around since 2012). However, on the way to our hotel (the newish Hampton Inn), I saw a sign for the place and decided to investigate. The COT is located in a smallish strip mall, tucked away down a small road on the outskirts of Woodinville. I don't think it's the sort of place you're likely to just happen across, but be that as it may, there was a decent size crowd in attendance the evening I stopped in (on a Saturday around 9:00). COT is sort of combination pub/growler station, but with a fairly sizeable menu of pub grub, and then a few different local wine options and several local distillery spirit options. As you walk in, the place has something of a modernistic, no frills look to the place. There's an informal vibe to the taphouse, with a smattering of tables and chairs, some long bench like areas to sit, and then a corner bar area straight back from the door holding roughly a dozen or so seats (and where I perched). I think there were a couple of sizeable flat screen TV's as well, and this seemed like a comfortable enough place to hang out and have a beer or three.

In terms of selection, I counted 43 different beer selections on the menu (a few ciders as well), mostly consisting of local and regional options (I think there were a couple of Belgian beers as well). The better/more interesting options included a couple of Lips of Faith beers from New Belgium, as well as few impy stouts and Baltic porters. I didn't try the food, but saw things like personal pizzas, sandwiches, nachos and the like on the menu. Service was OK. There seemed to be just the one bartender and she was pretty busy at times, but she was always friendly and helpful (when not busy). Service pretty much consists of the bartender asking what you want to order, and her bringing it (though she was very good about letting customers try several beers on the list before committing to a glass/pint).

I definitely enjoyed my visit to COT and I'm sure I'll be back. The only quibble I had with the place was the pricing. Pretty much everything on tap is $6.50 for either a pint or 14 ounce glass. For some reason, they had one amber that was priced at $5 a pint, and then things like the Belgian Saison I ordered, as well as the two New Belgian beers, were in the $5 to $5.50 range for a 7 ounce glass. Tax is not included in the menu price, making a visit here a pretty pricy proposition if you order more than a glass or two of anything. Growler prices are also a bit on the high side, generally ranging between $16 and $18 (before tax one assumes). You can also order a sampler flight, which gets you four 3-4 ounce glasses of anything on the menu for $7. Not too bad I thought.

The fairly high prices not withstanding, I enjoyed my visit here, and mentioned to the bartender that it's nice to have a chance to stop in for a couple of IPA's after a full day of samplings cabs and Syrah in the wine country. Pretty certain I'll be back.

I've been here many times, thought I should add a review.
Great selection of beer that i s constantly rotating. Usually several different styles to satisfy most tastes. Always some local brews along with some great beers from other states. Food is really good, they smoke their pork right outside the door where you walk in and it smells (and tastes) awesome.

I've been here twice. Smallish place, not far from my work.

Beer selection is good. Maybe 25-30 taps? Not sure. They always have something that interests me. They seem to frequently have brewery events. My friend recently went there for Green Flash, and filled a growler of Palate Wrecker for $10 or something.

Prices are reasonable. Food is good (some is great). I guarantee I'll be back.

A: Saturday afternoon Woodinville, party-time. Not really but The Collective is just about the liveliest place in town behind Red Hook. Walking in I see a bar with tap handles in the backdrop, seating surrounds the bar area and a chalk board provding about twenty offerings hanging on the wall to the left and behind the bar. Lots of beer chatter. I met a few guys there who up on the beer scene and chatted a bit. Nice cozy seating, plenty of booths, random pub tables, plenty of seating, TVs keep one occupied.

Q: No bad beers here, lines clean, no crap on tap. Alot of local quality stuff. The handles were well chosen and provided a very good mixture of styles to please anyone.

S: Good. No issues, talkative, nice. Not excatly sure how well versed the females are working the bar but I was in a good mood and did not want to play stump the dummy for the Hell of it.

S: As I addressed in the quality portion of the review, no major issues, selection was good and really focused on WA.

F: Did not try.

The only place I would truly recommend in Woodinville.
