Wicked Weed has this listed as 7.4% on caulk board so not sure if its new batch or other guys just put it in wrong.
Pours a normal brown with red highlights when held to a light A one finger brown head leaves some decent lace behind.
Aroma is nice earthy peat, hints of brown sugars and chocolate sweetness mingle nice malty nose. On top of the nice malt background you can smell the dry hopping nice floral and herbal mix that really is just to balance and compliment the nice malt backbone.
Taste is pretty close to the nose nice earthy malt hits the taste buds some peat, brown sugar sweetness and good chocolate notes are present. Middle seems to get a touch watery then the hops kick in more earthy/herbal bitterness then floral but they bring it back around for a good finish of earthy chocolate and lightly bitter earthy/herbal almost minty hop finish. Very enjoyable but seems to loose a touch for me in the transition from start to finish. But that being said I find it very drinkable and tasty.
Mouthfeel there is a carbonation spike in the middle that I believe is causing the watery like notes I found, but a solid medium mouthfeel.
Overall I am enjoying this one favorable and drinkable If this was at the local brewpub I could see having it regularly. But alas if your at Wicked Weed there are plenty of better options, even though you could not go wrong with this one, a solid brew. Just to many better then average ones to pick from love the Wicked Weed.

Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a brown coloring with hazelnut highlights, and a filmy, clingy, off-white head. Nose of nut sweetness, like Nutella, with solid roasted notes. Flavors are smooth and light nut sweetness forward, with a blast of booze, and evergreen highlights. Amazingly balanced. Light, sweet aftertaste on a clean, effervescent finish. Amazing brew!

Pours a clear, dark brown color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and good lacing. Smells of hops, slight pine, sweet malt, alcohol, roasted malt, and sugar. Fits the style of an American Brown Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, alcohol, roasted malt, hops, pine, and slight yeast. Overall, good appearance, but there is a cloying sweetness in both aroma and body.
