Wicked weed brewed their Freak of Nature IPA and it went a process to remove gluten, came out to be <10ppm.

Appearance- It was a perfect golden amber, nice head and lacing.

Smell- its smelled amazing! Dank! hops, hops, and more hops!

Taste- it tasted a little lighter than freak but not but much, it was very delicious and i could never tell you it was a gluten free beer if i didn't already know.

Mouthfeel- perfect carbonation, it wasn't thin but it wasn't chewy i thought it was great!

Overall- by far has to be the best GF/Gluten removed beer out there!

Had on tap at Sticks and Stones last night.Came to the table in a standard pint glass a hazed burnt orange color with a thinner but well sustained slight off white head atop.A big burst of citrus fruits in the nose along with lighter pine notes, just a big fresh hop attack.Honestly flavor wise you would have no idea that this was gluten free, big fresh citric hops with some bitterness in the finish with mild sweet biscuit flavors,no harsh sorghum flavor in the backend. What a great beer,Iam drinking less these days because Iam a little sensative to gluten,I may get a few growlers filled of this stuff!

Bottled On: 10.13.15

Slightly hazy yellow-gold under a small white head. Smell is similar to regular Freak...fresh, oily, dank, herbal hops over a little orange zest. Flavor is super hoppy with heavy spicy, resinous notes, grapefruit, scallions, and grass. Clean, oily, and bitter. A little lighter than Freak, but frothy and dry. Not only good for something gluten free, just plain good. Nice to have both options around - doesn't really matter to me, tasty stuff either way.

Good IPA regardless of the gluten content. It was very hoppy without being bitter or in your face. There was also a distinct cattiness that I enjoyed in this beer. Nice.

A: Pours a lightly hazy medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and faint apricot + bright yellow highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy light beige head that reduces to a couple of medium sized patches of medium thick film, a very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer, and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/grapefruit and tropical/pineapple hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of slightly sweet grainy malts.

T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of grainy malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit and tropical/pineapple hops which impart a moderate amount of aggressive lingering bitterness.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp with light amounts of dryness in the finish.

O: Probably the best Gluten-Free beer that I have had, in that it tastes almost exactly like the version with gluten. Top notch gluten-free DIPA. Easy to drink and very enjoyable.
