This is definitely my lowest rating compared to what is already on BA. I’m sorely disappointed. Maybe I’ve got the rona or it’s a bad keg.
8.5oz pour On tap at Jekyll and Hyde in Matthews, NC.
L: very little head, standard for high abv. Color is fairly standard light amber for a big IPA, maybe half a shade lighter.
S: not much at all. Just a tiny little booze pungency.
T: it’s getting stronger as it warms, but it shouldn’t need to be this warm. Well below average for the type. Taste and aftertaste are an acidic sour, a tiny bit soapy. I just noticed a really nice malt at the very beginning of the sip that last maybe 1.5 seconds before the back of the tongue takes over.
F: the weight is thin, far too thin for a TIPA. The aftertaste makes the sides and back of my tongue curl up.
O: one of the most disappointing surprises after seeing the BA score. This was a total miss for me. I notice most of the reviews are from 4+ years ago. Maybe WW changed how they make it. Take that into account.

Deep Amber color. Nose is dank, grapefruit, pine, and caramel. Taste follows, extremely herbal with some biscuit notes coming out as well. Glad to have had!

This big India Pale Ale doesn't back down! Straight to the point and quite simplistic in its fruity, citrusy taste, its floral scent and its deeply resinous finish, the beer's inherent complexity proves good enough for the most staunch hop-head.
Golden and with the familiar hoppy haze, the beer's soft translucent glow takes on light amber proportions. Its frothy, creamy and lacing froth carries a full and bright bouquet of citrus, tropical fruit, wildflower and orchard blossoms. Splitting the difference between honey and caramel, its toasted sweet palate is soft with cashew and granola.
As its full fruity display comes to fruition on the middle palate, the boldness of red grapefruit, tangerine, and a hint of lemon precede more tropical flavors of pineapple, mango and apricot. Trailing with the stern bitter punch, the taste is of fresh-cut grass and gripping pine resins.
Medium on the palate, the bigness of the ale doesn't inhibit its drinkability at all. Lush carbonation keeps the texture creamy until the last moment and then the finish slams shut on any sweetness or breadiness and the ale finishes suddenly of gullet-snatching bitterness of fruit pith, peel and pulp.

Holy booze bomb. Had at the Brewpub for their release party after a night of drinking around town. This was quite the nightcap. Clocking in over 11%, it smells and tastes like an 11% beer but I don't mind that at all. This is quite bitter but it meshes well with the aggressive hop profile and the malty backbone of this brew. The mouthfeel was very nice and it didn't have an off putting overpowering alcoholic lingering that sometimes slows you down on this ABV monster. Enjoyable as he'll and glad I was lucky to be in town to try it

It pours golden clear with a full white head and plenty of lacing. It has a powerful citrus aroma with floral elements, very hoppy. The flavors are high floral and citrus flavors. There are also pine flavors in it. There is a high bitter punch to the palate.
