5 oz pour into a tasting glass on tap at the Wicked Weed taproom.
L – Medium amber color with a 1-finger creamy, cream-colored head. Nice retention and some patches of lacing. Clear with a good amount of bubbles.
S – Tons of hops with grapefruit, orange, and mango notes. There may be some bready malt here, too, but this is loaded with hops.
T – Just like the aroma, the taste is filled with bitter grapefruit, orange, and mango hops. That bready, caramel malt shows up for a second at the beginning and is quickly overshadowed by the bitter blast of hops. Really tasty.
F – Medium-to-full-bodied, good carbonation, a sticky and chewy mouthfeel, and a very bitter and dry finish. Grapefruit and mango hop bitterness lingers and pairs well with the mild throat-warmth from the alcohol.
O – This is a really tasty DIPA. It is loaded with hops that shine through in the aroma and the taste, and the mouthfeel is great. For a beer this big with an ABV like 8%, it is crazy drinkable, too. Really nice beer from Wicked Weed.

A- Pours a clear amber with minimal head.
S- Holy cow! This thing had ripe peach, pineapple, even watermelon coming out of it. I had to do a double take to make sure that nobody walked by with perfume.
T- What a refreshing summer drink! And 8.5 percent alcohol which you do not taste. The tropical flavors and wonderful hops are abundant. Mouthfeel is light considering the abv , and malt is faint, actually lighter than I would prefer. This is why I would call this an amazing summer IPA/DIPA .
O- Probably the best IPA or DIPA in Asheville. Though I prefer more of a malt backbone, I'm glad I had it in summer. It was refreshing on a hot day.
IPA lovers, the Wicked Weed is your destination in Asheville. Be warned, the service here is lacking and quite inattentive. But so is every place in Asheville.
Oh, the food is really good here too.
