Tap at Trinity Pub in Norton.

Light fizzy head with decent lacing, semi hazy honey golden orange color.

Nose has a juicy malt aroma at first, then light juicy floral hops, bit of citrus, faint mango papaya tangerine thing, little stone fruit, decently aromatic for being as cold as it is. As it warms the floral and light spicy hops come through a bit more, although overall still seems slightly muted. But I heard from one of the brewers that they are working on it so hopefully the next batch is a bit more bright in the nose.

Taste starts with a decent hop bite, nothing big on bitterness but enough to let you know, some citrus, little tangerine like, floral flowery hops, perfumey, touch of musty and light pine. Tropical like fruit is faint but there with touch of papaya skin and melon rind. Bitterness turns a bit spicy and earthy, slightly chewy even as it intensifies throughout the sips. Malts bring light sweetness and a light juicy malt base and faintest honey malt flavor, just enough overall sweetness to balance the bitterness. It's warms a bit with booze but it's hardly detectable. Finish its fairly bitter, nice rind like hop profile with hint of resin and spicy hops with some pine, some light juicy malt lingering, somewhat drier bit a bit sticky and sweet.

Mouth is med bodied, decent carb.

Overall pretty nice, quite a unique ipa somehow, it seems like it should be an average East Coast style IPA, but somehow has its own thing going. Nice overall hop profile although could be presented a bit more, light malt base just enough to present the hops. pretty tasty and drinkable overall. (1,613 characters)

Had on tap @Flynns Cedarville. Taste is herbal mustiness, citrus--tangerine and orange, as well as light honey that becomes more prominent as the beer warms. Interesting, above average IPA that has me curious about the brewery's other offerings. (247 characters)

The beer pours some decent head that dissipates quickly. The head is white and creamy. The beer itself is a golden orange color that is fairly hazy but a little see through. The smell has strong honey and hop notes. The hop notes are primarily orange and a bit tropical. the hones adds a nice sweet balance to it and works better than malts. The taste is similar to the smell with strong honey sweetness to balance out the orange hop notes. The beer is medium bodied but on the lighter side. The beer was brewed using fewer malts and honey was used to replace it, which accounts for the lightness. The feeling is thick and smooth with biting carbonation. Overall, a very good beer and definitely their best. I highly recommend this as a cheap Hopslam replacement. (763 characters)

Poured from a 500ml swing-top growler that was filled at the brewery, into a US tumbler glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains earthy hops, caramelized malts and some citrus.

T: The taste starts out with a good strong burst of hops bitterness that remains dominant as you continue to drink the beer. Then some citrus and caramel sweetness comes in. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, this is a very solid IPA to drink for a whole evening. (815 characters)

Tasty and a little bit "off-center" - I like this beer a lot. I will definitely be filling up some growlers at their brewery. (126 characters)

BI Stinger is probably the best IPA I've had to date. Great beer from a great little local brewery. Good people and great beer. This is a must have for IPA fans. Looking forward to trying all of their brews! (207 characters)

It's amazing beer advocate changed the rating system. Now, only ratings That come with a review of 150 characters will count. They've now just discounted thousands of ratings just because they want "quality". Well guess what, you now have a smaller sample size and beers with only 159 ratings are cracking the top 20. So stupid. It's 2015, people are busy. I don't want to spend 10 minutes describing my feelings about every beer I drink! (438 characters)
