Contrary to the photo shown, the label/name has been updated to Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale (but everything else looks the same). This was on sale at Safeway today, but due to Colorado's stupid liquor laws which only allow 3.2abv beers at groceries, I had to go to a liquor store and pay a dollar more for 2% more alcohol per beer, approximately.
Weird sensation of being able to actually twist the cap off followed by a good looking pour into a tallish goblet. Great color, deep, orangy amber, and not such a bad head on this either. Aroma is that of an average pumpkin beer: spices and vague gourd funkiness. Flavor is crisp and smooth, with the spices really hanging in the background and the pumpkin itself more of a ghostly presence, but it's refreshing, I will say that. I could probably drink a lot of these but I've got some other treats in the fridge to move on to.
Overall a solidly-average pumpkin. I would get it again - kinda nice to have a decent one that isn't huge alcohol to drink for football games and holiday get togethers.
