Poured into a weizen glass from a 16 oz. can.
3.0 A: Hazed medium orange color. One and a half fingers of frothy/foamy off-white head. Retention is a hair below average and a short ring of lacing is left.
3.5 S: Moderate corriander with citrusy orange peel. I'm a bit surprised how much orange comes out in the nose without the requisite slice of orange already in it. Dusty graininess, lightly bready, and a mild spiciness. A little mundane for the style, but all in all, it's not bad.
3.5 T: There's a good bit of orange flavor in the taste as well. Enough corriander to keep it interesting. Light bready yeastiness, a bit of graininess, moderate sweetness, mild bitteress. It's not jam packed with flavor, but it does taste pretty good.
3.5 M: Medium body. This has a somewhat rich thickness that you wouldn't expect from a Coors product. Light creaminess and super smooth.
3.5 D: I've always been a fan of Blue Moon and I don't care if I get shit for it. I think it's a superbly drinkable beer with enough flavor to keep you occupied at a bar that serves nothing better.
