Pint glass from 12 oz. bottle, ungarnished.
The color is fine for a wit. A little more orange and less "white", but the amount of haze is okay. Consistent enough, no sediment. The head was frothy but short, and it didn't hold too long or lace.
A lot of orange in the nose. Some vanilla. Spices aren't too prominent. It's a pretty bold aroma for a mainstream offering.
The orange peel and coriander really dominate, and the malt and yeast character is a bit too muted. Finishes with a big dose of coriander. No real hop character, but that's no big deal. Starts out tasting pretty good, but it gets kind of boring in a hurry. Sort of a empty finish.
Very smooth feel. Creamy and soft, likely aided by oats. I see people drinking out of the bottle, and I'm sure they're losing out on this element if they do.
Really quaffable. Aided by the fact that this is on the simple side. Not a hard beer to have several of in a sitting. Sneaky 5.4% at that. For a craft style from a BMC, this is pretty good.
