Appearance: An attractive, cloudy orange color with a little more than a finger of good foam. Little carbonation, and the head fades quickly.

Smell: A noticeable (and quite pleasant) citrus smell, wheat in the background.

Taste: Extremely drinkable beer. Very easy to chug if you want to. The taste itself is a semi-sour, semi-sweet upront with a finish similar to seltzer water and bread. No lasting taste in the mouth afterwards.

A great beer to have with a meal, or to sit back and drink a 12 pack with a couple friends.

BB 30/06/2012, served chilled in a Hapkin’s stemmed bulb glass.

A: cloudy light orange in colour, coming with a fast dissipating white foamy head and light carbonation.
S: nice orangey aroma and faint traces of coriander seeds spring to mind, plus a touch of pear-y esters; wheat malts are not as pronounced as many Belgian counterparts, and neither is the spicy/herbal part.
T: sour-sweet wheat-ish malts and mixed tropical fruits are underlined by a liquidy-sugary sweetness upfront, followed by a lightly chewy palate of minerals and gritty malts, finishing lightly dry.
M&D: as the beer is approaching the BB date, I suppose the freshness, or the lack of it, plays a part in an overall mediocre performance. Spiciness and fruity undertones are both weak, making me feel that this perhaps can be classified as “American Wheat Ale” instead of the Belgian style Witbier? Well, classification is academic only, but I wouldn’t mind trying it again if it was fresher next time.

pours thick and cloudy dull yellow into a hefe glass with an orange peel on the side, medium white head. smells like fruity yeast, some spice, and pale malts. the yeast aroma is overpowering and a bit off though. flavor is quite fruity and zesty from the yeast. lemons, orange peel, and some herbs are there, also some mild tartness at the end. feel is fine, if a little heavy from all the suspended sediment in there. good carbonation and a medium body. overall this beer isnt as good as it used to be. its kind of weighted down and funky in the wrong ways. has refreshing properties, but there are infinitely better choices.

L: Hazy pale orange, virtually no head. Very fizzy, looks more like Fanta than beer.

S: Strong grapefruit or pineapple, orange peel and nothing else. Once again, doesn't really smell like a beer.

T: Same as above really. Taste reminiscent of carbonated fruit juice. Very one dimensional but I will give it this - for the first half of the drink it's quite refreshing. Afterwards, it's pretty hard to finish..

M: Light bodied and watery, too fizzy to taste, but thirst quenching (at first). Don't let it warm up, for the love of god.
