Poured from a freshly tapped 1/6th keg from the basement bar dual-tap kegerator into a Newcastle Brown Ale Schooner glass, with Stouts Fat Dog Stout on the other side.
Appearance: A nice 1/2" frothy off-white head diminished to a thing ring. Pours a nice, murky golden orange color. Lacing is decent as my glass emptied.
Smell: Coriander and citrus dominate the nose with spiciness in the finish. A decent smelling beer for a
Taste: Wheat, malt, sweet orange and coriander definitely dominate the flavor. Maybe a hint of peppery spice. Mildly sweet with a bit of soapiness in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, easy drinking beer with a moderate amount of flavor. Medium carbonation with a fuller body.
Overall: I've had many better Witbiers but this one isn't that bad. I would buy it again, as it is one of my wife's favorites, especially on tap. My first choice will always be Allagash. Now that's an outstanding Witbier in my opinion!! Blue Moon will be the only Coors product that will hit my lips. It's time to switch over to Fat Dog Stout now...

Poured into a wiezen glass
Appearance: A nice cloudy orangish haze, brown undertone that does not intrude on the glowing effect of this beer in the glass. Nice head as well.
Smell: Citrusy up front, maybe a little roasty and some nice malt character as well. Hard to get any hop cents but I get the impression that they are there, just well disguised.
Taste: A really good wheat ale, the citrus is not to overpowering and it has a nice full body. Right away I can tell why this has become so popular. Very flavorful and very refreshing, something that is hard to pull off.
Mouthfeel: The beer has a very nice texture, smooth and a little bit of bite from the carbonation.
Overall: This is a very good beer, made better by the fact that you can get it almost anywhere. I feel like it is given some poor reviews due to the fact it is made by Coors. Who says they can't make a good beer? I was very impressed and am not surprised that it is so popular, it has good flavor and the reinforcement of a large corporation.
