This poured a straw yellow coloring with considerable carbonation throughout the body. The head was immensely fizzy and it flittered away in seconds.

The scent was mind boggling as I detected toasted corn but then a yeasty bubblegum sweetness. Maybe it's just me but it was kind if nice.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is but if you like Toasted Corn Pop cereal than this is right up your alley. Toasted Corn sweetness is all over the tongue and it's not bad at all.

The feel is rather dry, slightly high in the carbonation scale but very easy on the stomach.

For the style this is rather good and in my opinion does not get enough credit for an American Adjunct.

12oz brown bottle. No freshness dating.

Pours a golden hued pale / yellowy brew, with a slow moving tight carbonation that forms a quick lived snappy head that settles to a decent white-ringed lace.

Faint notes of grain in the nose, hint of floral.

Fairly smooth on the palate, tight and tingly carbonation scrubs and livens with a bit of a creamy feel being created. Crisp. Even mouthfeel, with a distinct mineral quality. Subtle sweetness blends with a watery lemon-lime-rind-like hop character with a splash of bitterness to balance out the malty sweetness. Clean finish, with little residuals, though adjunct flavors and a rougher feel on the palate become more pronounced as the beer warms.

Coors Original is a bit more flavorful vs. some of its competitiors, with a fuller, more rounded body. For what it is, and keeping the style in mind (unlike most of the other reviewers) ... it ain't all that bad.

Appearance – Clear yellow carbonated body with a good-sized head that disappeared in a flash.

Smell – Typical grain and corn aroma with a whiff of alcohol.

Taste – This is really an empty flavor. Straight corn, and that’s all I could come up with.

Mouthfeel – The carbonation isn’t bad for a macro brew, but there’s certainly nothing else in here that would please the mouth.

Drinkability – Unless you’re a big fan of Cornish Ale, I would skip this one.

This is the first beer I ever tried and it is the beer I grew up with, so it has a special place in my beer drinking history....but that does not make up for the fact that it is a average brew. It pours a light golden color with a decent head, and it smells processed right off the bat. There is no definable smell from the beer other than cheap and the taste is very bitter unless it is out of a bottle. Out of the bottle, I can detect a little bit of hops in there but not much, and it still has a little of that bitter quality. And it is not a bitter in a good sense, it is bitter as in skunky. I guess if you are in need of a cheap macro, this is better than Bud, but not something I would ever choose unless it was in complete desperation.

not really sure what the difference is here with the regular coors lineup....i know its called coors banquet but what does that actually mean? does it mean its a special version of the regular coors or is it all coming out of the same tank? either way, i snagged this on a hot day at my local convenient store because it was cheap and accessible

honestly this beer was not all that bad, it was super drinkable on a hot day but you can tell something is wrong as well....it just doesn't taste like the beer is made from real ingredients, the head on the beer quickly disappeared after pouring in the glass, the aroma was nonexistent....it just seems like a beer that came rolling off the assembly line

the mouthfeel was light bodied, it sure was drinkable and i guess that is what they are going for but it just did not have enough character to really merit any outstanding reviews

but fwiw it does a good job at what i think the intention was
