poured out of a can into a pint glass.
Appearance is very pale yellow with a small soapy head that dissipates rather quickly.
Smells of sweet corn with a slight cooked vegetable smell.
tastes similar to the smell although not quite as sweet as I might expect. There is less corn than high life and a little bready grain comes through. Maybe just a slight hop bitterness.
Overall this is a good beer and for the style and one of my favorites when I want to have more than a few.

Poured from a 24 ounce tallboy into a sampler. The beer has an expiration date of May 2014 (reviewed in mid-March). A moderate pour produces a short-lived, half inch, snow white head that reduces to almost nothing inside of 30 seconds. The beer is a pale golden color with carbonation somewhat on the high side.
Of course, there isn't much aroma and the flavor is rather light. I definitely detect some corn mash notes, light malt, and a kiss of floral hops. This one has just a wee bit of a stale, wet cardboard taste, which is the only thing off-putting about it. Some sweetness and hardly any bitterness in the aftertaste, which is quite clean. The mouthfeel is fairly creamy for an AAL.
In the summer, this is one of my go-to beers- it is relatively common, usually fairly cheap and comes in cans- good for camping, fishing and rafting. I honestly don't think Coors is as good in a bottle. A can of this is a real delight when the beer is ice cold and you are broiling hot- just what this type of beer is made for. It has way more flavor and a little more body than a Coors Light, which for some reason is extremely popular around here. It goes really well with grilled meat.
