Poured from a 12 oz bottle into nonic pint glass.
A - An almost pastel yellow with a slight haze. About half an inch of white head rises but falls quickly. No lace.
S - Mostly honey with some "dirty" graininess in the background. Slight but noticable notes of the hibiscus and orange peel mentioned on the label.
T - Straightforward translation of the nose. Sweet honey at first that doesn't last near long enough before falling into earthy, grainy flavors. Vague notions of hibiscus and orange peel pop in and out amongst the "dirty" American wheat flavor. Finish is fairly clean with a tad of lingering honey sweetness.
M - Quite thin, bordering on watery. Carbonation is medium-high to high. Good and crisp, but could use just a touch more body.
D - Well, Honeymoon thankfully isn't the worst of Blue Moon's seasonals. It's actually fairly decent for what it is. A nice sweetish beer that holds up well on a hot day with just enough flavor to keep it from completely slipping down into the depths of APWA hell.
