The beer pours brilliantly clear deep golden bordering on copper color with a thick white head that diminished to a thin skim yet left bits of lacing. A good looking beer. The aroma is moderate sweet malt, rather grainy, perhaps a hint of grassy hops. The flavor is medium-high grainy malt, a bit of spicy hop flavor and the finish is dry and crisp, with just a bit of sweet malt reemerging. The body is medium-light with medium-high carbonation. Overall this is a solid beer, in the pre-prohibition style I've had better, but worth picking up at least a single.
