I've realized more and more recently how overrated I think Blue Moon is, and this offering only serves to reinforce that.
It pours pretty enough, a rich ruby amber, though the thin head dissipated relatively quickly. The smell offers very little, but a light malty sweetness, while drinking the beer doesn't bring out too much more. Taste is dominated by this caramel-malty-sweetness, with a little bit of wheat-y American feel to finish it off. Not really sure where the 'belgian abbey ale' is in this beer.
Ultimately forgettable and disappointing. Not worth going out and getting.
