Picked up a sixer at Publix the other day, surprised to see how few reviews are here so far. Then again, after tasting maybe that's why...
Pours a light amber color and very clear, with a thick fluffy head that lasts. Leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is very sweet with a little carmel and some other kind of odd element I can't identify - kind of like burnt sugar. That sugary-ness carries over into the flavor. Sugary sweetness dominates, and it seems like at least some of the sugar was added post fermentation and has not finished out. There is no compexity or depth of flavor like one would expect with a belgian style ale. Though the label claims "full bodied" it is more like medium bodied at best.
Overall, tastes like a Herman Joseph's dosed with sugar at bottling. Not recommended.
