A - A fairly active pour yields a fingers worth of slightly airy slightly fizzy head that is a pale brown in color... Limited to no retention as this one fizzes away rather quickly... Just a slight bit of splotchy lacing and an uber thin collar... The color is a completely translucent light-to-medium caramel brown... Perfectly still...
S - Brown sugar... Dark fruits... Caramel and toffee... The Belgian yeast is buried a bit beneath the surface... A slight touch of bubble gum... There is also a very subtle spice component that lingers - perhaps some cinnamon and nutmeg...
T - The palate is amazingly subdued... Much of what was expected from the nose never materializes... Nothing particular stands out as a lot of flavors seem to get muddled together... The end result is a slightly cottony, artificially sweet ale with some faint brown sugar notes...
M - Medium bodied... Some crisp fizzy carbonation... Even and consistent...
D - A so so at best beer... The appearance and aroma led me to think this one may have a chance of surprising, but the flavor profile turns a bit messy... A few minor tweaks could go a long way... Not terrible, but in its current form it is not anything I would recommend nor revisit...
