The bottle claims it is a full bodied ale with roasted malts and a hint of dark Belgian Sugar for a perfect balanced taste.
The look is a clear Ruby reddish tone with a slightly off white head that leaves little lacing, but does hold up someone around the sides of the glass.
The taste is somewhat simple, but still decent. Roasted malts hit about mid sip and finish off with enough sweetness and bitterness to create the flavors of dark fruits and some spice. Part of me feels there should be more of a clove like spice present.
The mouthfeel is pretty creamy and full along with just enough carbonated.
A dubbel at 5.6 gets good drinkability points in my opinion, but too bad the flavor is lacking.
