The beer poured with pretty much no head at all. It is a golden yellow and looks very uninspiring. Some fast moving carbonation bubbles running up the center of the glass. It smells faintly of wheat and a tiny bit of fruity sweetness.
The beer is slightly sweet and bready. The beer is very light bodied with a strong carbonation. It's not really a unique taste or extremely appealing.
Overall, this beer seems like just a bad version of blue moon to me. The taste is nothing you haven't tasted before, so therefore its not really a beer I would go out of my way to buy.

Poured a pale straw color with little head on it. Smell is faint wheat and malt. Taste is average - kinda weak. Not a lot of wheat taste. Tastes cheap. Very light bodied. Not a bad tasting beer just nothing to it. Not worth the price at all. I will not be buying this again.

Poured from bottle into pint glass.
A: Nice light gold color. Decent sized head that dissipated quickly. Fair carbonation.
S: Very light smelling. Orange, lemon, hint of wheat.
T: Light tasting. Sweet citrus. Finishes dry. Pale wheat is hard to get right. Don't think this made the cut.
M: Light with a slightly sweet stickiness.
O: OK. Falls a bit short. Perhaps a nice beer when your hot and you want it to go down quick.

Pours to a thin white head (no retention) and golden color with filtered clarity. Aroma is wheat malt with none of the promised citrus to speak of. Flavor is clean, light and has a pleasant graininess with very little lemon or orange as promised. Light mouthfeel and generous CO2. Overall, a very bland, ordinary beer.

As far as weissbeirs go this is not anything special. The mouthfeel is reminiscent of PBR or MGD, not how a wheat beer should taste. The beer has little to no body to it. The only redeeming characteristic of this beer is the smell, of course that could just be the lemon I added to it to make it tolerable. Not as bad as a domestic lager, but not worth the price, considering that it goes for the same as a Sam Adams or equivalent microbrew.

I've seen this in stores, and being a huge fan of weissbiers, I had to give this thing a try. Idiots gave me a frozen glass that I had to warm up at the bar.
Appearance - Straw color, Light color for a wheat beer, even when compared to a Kristalweizen. 2 inch head that disappeared rather quickly.
Smell - Probably the best part of the beer. Smelled of a good wheat beer (clove, bready-wheat, banana, and sweetness). Halfway through the beer, I got this strange aroma that smelled of an astringent adujnct lager.
Taste - OK wow, not what I was expecting. After reading the label and smelling it, I was expecting a good wheat beer reminiscent of Franziskaner. But what I got was an astringent adjunct lager flavored beer. It took all I had to finish this thing. No hops present at all. Reminiscent of UFO Hefeweizen. Not good.
Mouthfeel - Once the initial flavors leave, a slightly sweet adjunct lager aftertaste lingers, that is preferable when compared to the likes of BMC beers. No real aftertaste to speak of.
This thing shouldn't carry the Blue Moon name. It should carry it's father's name (Coor's). This is what i pictured BL Wheat would taste like.

The beer is a nice gold while pouring. It's a gold that is on par with Coors main stream products and every bit as translucent. The head expands quickly and fades a little bit slower, but never completely. I could never seen down into the beer. It's also a thick and creamy head of foam as thick lacing rings got left behind.
The smell is sweet with citrus and banana. Wheat comes through big too. Hints of clove and hops at the end.
This beer is like an improved version of the original Blue Moon. The citrus and banana suggestions are there, as well as the warm-seasonal spices common of spring and summer beers, but this beer is oh so much cleaner than Blue Moon and therefore the mouthfeel and drinkability are much better. Smooth, not grainy. Sour though.
Decent, but I probably won't purchase again with the better Keweenaw Bay Pick Axe Blonde cheaper and brewed closer.

Bought this for my girlfriend when she asked me to pick her up some Blue Moon. I decided to give this a try and write up a review for it.
I've originally tasted the Rising Moon that was out before this and I thought that beer was pretty terrible from memory. This beer however... might even be worse, or the exact same beer for all I can really tell.
Pours a clear pale yellow color with almost no head to speak of.
Aroma is grainy, grassy, slightly wheaty and some odd citrus lemon/lime peel.
I know the previous Rising Moon was brewed with limes and this one is supposed to be orange and lemon but all I keep tasting is lime lime lime!!! There is a slight wheat and plastic aftertaste that just sticks in your mouth for too long. I suppose I wouldn't mind it but it's such a horrible taste. The only reason I'm giving it any points is because it at least tastes like something!
Light body and somewhat flat. Not at all crisp or refreshing or anything it aims to be. All around horrible.

12 oz single from Roths, West Salem store. $1.30
Pale yellow, looks like a lager..with a large frothy white head.
Aroma? carboard like a cheap lager to be honest.
Taste thankfully is not cheap lager..but cheap watery wheat with a small tine of citric peel.
Palate is not as bad as expected..has some small amount of body.
Pretty bad really even for Coors.

S- Light wheat and faint citrus, its not improving any.
T- Watered down wheat and lemon cough drops, no hops present.Ok it got worse
M- Thin and highly carbonated.
D- Bad taste and it's a waste of money

Pours a clear, very transparent straw color. Big fluffy white head dissipates slowly. No lacing.
Smells of yeast, and some musty malt. Some heavy bread, but all very faint.
Tastes of malt and bread, a little sweet, and a hint of grass. Not much after taste.
Mouthfeel is thin, with some yeasty bread notes. A somewhat dry finish.
Well, first time to have this and I'm not impressed. Expected something like Hoegaarden. Not!
Wow, can't believe I spent $7.99 a sixer for this trash. Someone should be ashamed.

12oz brown bottle with a freshness date.
Thin lacing with a golden filtered clarity. Forced orange and lemon nose on a thin graininess. Crisp, easy to get to as the body is pretty thin. Orange and lemon water with an addition of grain, seriously ... it tastes like a glass of cold carbonated water that a fresh wedge of orange and lemon where put in a few hours ago. The grain is too thin to really call out. Hops, sure something could be there but the beer does not even need to be balanced ... not much to take care of. Dry finish with some citric remains.
Weak sauce ... I expected a bit more out of this one. Not much to it at all and the addition of citrus fails IMO. They would have been better off sticking to their Rising Moon Spring Ale and simply tweaking as I said.

L - I have large wheat glasses, so I poured it with a 4 inch thick white head. Dissipates pretty quickly, but leaves some lacing along the glass. The color is a golden yellow.
S - Funky-musty, yeasty. The smell is really off-putting.
T - Light, sweet, creamy. Finishes pretty dry with some residual grassy hop oil on the tongue.
M - Light-medium mouthfeel with medium carbonation.
D - Doesn't drink poorly, the more I had it the more I enjoyed it. But the flavors are on the weaker side with that damn off-putting aroma. Kinda dissapointed I have 3 more of these in the Brewmaster's pack I just bought...

Hmmm... I bought this Spring Blonde Wheat Ale for my girlfriend. Gotta say im not too impressed.
It's not a terrible Wheat Ale but it has literally nothing identifiable about it.
I could be drinking a Coors Light and not know any difference.
Definitely would not buy again.

This beer was served out of a 12oz. bottle dispensed into a glass....
Presentation - Always thought Blue Moon had some of the coolest labels. I like this one a great deal.
Appearance - Pours a clear golden color with a 2 finger white heard dissipates rather slowly to a thin foam ring. No real lacing is evident.
Smell - Smells of a strong lemony citurs smell with hints of a sour wheat smell.
Taste - You can definitely taste the wheat up front followed by the slight lemon and orange citrus flavor.
Mouthfeel - Crisp and light with medium carbonation.
Drinkability - Smooth and drinkable does not fill you up.
Was very dissappointed in the generic and mediocre nature of this offering. Reminded me of Bud Light Wheat!!!

Appearance: This Blue Moon incarnation pours an extremely clear straw color with about a finger of snow white head. Retention is below average, as is the lacing.
Smell: Light breadiness, lime peel and lemon peel.
Taste: Breadiness and some wheat malt, light citrus (lime, lemon, orange).
Mouthfeel/Drinkability: Very light body, high carbonation. Overall, this beer is pretty poor. I normally try to cut Blue Moon stuff a bit of slack, but I can't on this one.

Served in a glass. What I assume is the "best by" date on the bottle is June 6, 2011.
A: Light-gold in color. Head is white and very bubbly/active. It dissipates slowly. It's definitely filtered. Very little carbonation visible once it settles.
S: Brisk and crisp. Wheat first and foremost followed by citrus fruit. Also a grassy smell. The alcohol can be smelled a bit too.
T: Heavy on the wheat with citrus blended in. Hops are detectable as well but just barely. Finishes clean. Not a lot of flavor to speak of.
M: Light-bodied and not much else to say. Unsatisfying feel.
D: Fairly low. Not much that makes me want to have more.
It is what it is: a weak imitation of a better hefeweizen. It is a *decent* effort but could use more work. To be honest, it could be worse though.

Blue Moon Spring Blonde Wheat Ale....in a bottle
Appearance-pale gold color, muddled color, one finger head that leaves quickly.
Smell-light traces of alcohol, fruit juice and grain'
Taste/Mouthfeel-weak, watery, light mouthfeel. Touches of fruit juice flavor mixed with cooked veggie adjunct notes, weak taste finishes clean. Not very enjoyable, actually seems like normal Blue Moon doused in orange juice.
Drinkability-not enjoyable, not memorable.
Overall-so much for that Orange Peel, seems like imitation craft gimmickry, again Blue Moon drowned in OJ to me. Not many beers I despise, this seems to be one of them.

Another beer that ended up in my refrigerator because someone brought it over thinking that "I like craft beer, here's Blue Moon." Pretty much what I expected, but there was actually an interesting aroma that was a little better than what I was ready for.
Color is a pale straw. Carbonation is very effervescent and actually quote refreshing looking.
Aroma, as mentioned was surprisingly more complex than I would have expected.
Flavor was somewhat uninteresting and bland.
Overall I would not recommend buying this beer but if you find it in you refridgerator not a bad offering.

Pours a pale yellow with initially a good sized white head. Head fades quickly. Smells of lemon, orange and grass. Very grainy flavored with a hint of sweetness. Sharp lemon/orange flavors with some grassy hops. The hops are faint but they are there which suprises me a bit. Light bodied in the mouth. Not a great beer but not a bad one either considering the brewer.

I picked up a twelve pack of this two weeks ago at my local grocery store, I don't remember exactly how much I paid but I think it was $13. I was looking for something a little lighter and more refreshing than what I have been drinking lately, so lets see how it goes. The best by date was July 4, 2011. Poured from a 12oz brown bottle into a weizen glass.
A- The label is pretty much the same as the original blue moon, but with a green background color and some spring like scenery, mediocre at best. This beer poured a clear pale golden color with 2 fingers of white head that died down to a thin ring.
S- I pick up a grassy and earthy wheat aroma followed by some tart citrus. Not much else going on here.
T- Pretty similar to the aroma but the flavor comes off very bready. The citrus is a little more prevalent in the flavor and tastes like a mixture of lemon/lime juice mixed in with orange zest.
M- Crisp, light bodied and good carbonation.
D- Between the light body and the lighter flavors, drinking a couple of these wouldn't be a problem, but the flavors just don't hold my attention to warrant drinking more then two.
Overall this was a pretty mundane brew. When I think of spring beers I think of hops and this tasted like it didn't have any and relied on the citrus for its bitterness but it didn't do the trick. This might hit the spot after that first lawn mowing session of the year but other then that it's a one trick pony. I won't be buying this again.

A-Pours golden. Some head sits around and simmers down a bit. Not much lacing to speak of.
S-Light whiffs of wheat, some citrus, and a very softspoken hop aroma.
T-Again light wheatiness. Faint lemon citrus and grass as well. Quite a subdued taste. It is not harsh but it is definately very unmemorable
M-Lighter bodied. Well carbonated. Crisp mouthfeel.
D-Nothing bad. Good on a summer day I could imagine.
Incredibly unremarkable. I will take normal Blue Moon before this easily.

Poured from the 12oz bottle into a weizen glass.
A: The beer is a light orange, cloudy, with a little bit less than 2 fingers of white head with ok retention.
S: Faint smell, grassy and wheaty with a hint of yeast and some citrus.
T: Kind of like a bowl of fruit loops with alcohol in it. Really sweet, with a strange dominant lime character and then some orange peel and yeast. Sour apple somewhere in there with a slight hint of biscuity malt. Overly sweet.
Won't be picking this one up again. I'd rather just have a Blue Moon and that's saying a lot...

Thick white head and decent retention, minimal lacing. Crystal gold body. Extreme floral and grassy scent. Smells like the El Paso desert in the Spring, with a touch of womens perfume and soap. Sweet, hints of corn and hops. Extremely smooth mouthfeel. Goes right down without a trace. Not watery or full bodied, just a balanced mouthfeel that would go great with food pairings since it doesn't put a load on the palate. Depending on your mood, you might mistake it for bland. Floral, corny aftertaste, with crispness that eventually fades and lets the stickiness show. My main beef with this beer is that it's a called a wheat ale, but has none of the characteristics one would be hoping for when shopping for one.

Pretty weak for a 'wheat ale.' poured into a tumbler the head reaches the top and dissipates very quickly. Orange-y yellow body. Smells yeast-y, sour, citrus-y and a little apple-y. The taste is grain dominated with hop bitterness. Very thin, a little gassy. Overall, not too pleasant.
