The most classic Blue Moon if you ask me. I'm a big lover of beer in the summer so obviously this would be my choice. It tastes very wheaty and a bit floral. Another great beer with an orange slice and perfect after a day of work and relaxing on your patio. (260 characters)

3.2% ABW (4.0% ABV) Version from Crest Foods in Oklahoma.

Pours to a rapidly receding head and clear yellow gold color. Aroma is weak pale and wheat malt with a hint of floral and citrus. Flavor is clean and weak, can't discern much of what the label promises other than the wheat and some malt sweetness. A blah and mediocre beer. not bad tasting, just lacking any distinct character. It is refreshing and feels good going down. Better than drinking a regular BMC but that's it. (481 characters)

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- Smells like a BMC with a little bit more wheat.
Appearance- This is a clear golden color with a large white head.
Palate- A moderate bodied beer with heavy carbonation. This beer has an unpleasant aftertaste that does not go away with each sip.
Overall- Hugely disappointing. This is a very poorly made brew. (364 characters)

Clear pale yellow color with no head. Light honey smell. Tastes like a wheat with honey added. Not too sweet but the honey is obvious. Watered down with super light carbonation. MF is the main issue here and it can't be ignored. (228 characters)

I was expecting something like a Leinenkugel Summer Wheat but was hugely disappointed. All I could taste was honey and hops with no substantial wheat flavor. It was hard for me to finish it. The younger folk at the neighborhood party seems to enjoy it much more than I did. (273 characters)

After a 16 hour workday, it really hits the spot, definitely alongside a burger and some bacon :D The unfiltered taste on the tongue is just like "fuck yeah!" It's smooth, has a full flavor, and I always end up heading to the fridge to grab a second one :D (256 characters)

Appearance: Wheat colored, light, yellow amber. Pleasing for a summer brew.
Smell: Not great. Smells a bit like cheaper beers such as Miller or Coors. Very pronounced wheat notes with honey.
Taste/mouthfeel: A bit harsh initially, but the taste softens almost immediately to one of refreshing amber and honey. The wheat is still present, especially in the aftertaste.
Overall: Pleasing in taste, this makes a decent summer beer. Similar to Grainbelt or Leinenkugel's Honey weiss. (481 characters)

Tastes almost exactly like a regular blue moon except a little more of a wheat flavor and a n overwhelming honey flavor that I just didnt care for. Its like someone grabbed a bottle of honey and mixed it with a blue moon. It just isnt a good combination. (254 characters)

Poured from bottle into glass. Appearance is a strong wheat color. Smell is poor with the wheat and honey coming through. The taste is fairly bland with the honey and wheat shining through. The mouthfeel is incredibly smooth though. Very good summer beer, especially for the price this can be picked up for. Compare to Leinenkugel's Honey Weiss. Good summer beer overall. (371 characters)

Had a tasting of this where I work today; not a bad offering, and it's my second in the Blue Moon library, to be exact. While I only had about a shot glass worth of beer (I got a bottle in my fridge, so I'll be doing a rereview soon, if necessary), it's an effective drinker for the season, however, its clove honey taste and rather mild but effective filling overall make this sort of a Blue Moon Light than a really different product from the traditional Blue Moon. Still, there is a nice difference to this beer that's more on-par with a honey beer that's available year-round rather than a limited-batch shandy during the summertime.

Still, when it comes down to the macrobrew Belgian White wars, I got to side with Shock Top, for, in just two of their beers, I could really taste their complexities and their differences, where both of the Blue Moon offerings that should be drastically different are quietly interchangeable to a degree. (944 characters)

The nose was weak and didn't reveal much but soft wheat, honey, Apple and pear. The flavor, though, surprised me greatly as it was nicely balanced and appropriately measured between wheat malt dryness, honey sweetness, apple crispness and even pear like freshness. This is surprisingly complex as it is macro-brewed and by look and scent a bit boring but the flavor delivers a nice bang for the buck. (400 characters)

While I am not a fan of honey, this beer was actually really good. It will definately be enjoyed again on a hot summer day. The head was very creamy looking with nice lace that quickly disappeared from the glass. (277 characters)

ya know.... I think ya just need the right stuff at the right time... because I KNEW what to expect from this guy, but the very cold, light, easy-drinking nature while I am hot and sweaty and getting ready for the Kings' Game 3 just tasted pretty darned good. I poured it softly so I wouldn't lose any flavor in the head, and I certainly got the corn-piss-adjunct in it, but it was okay. okay for right now, otherwise i'd be urinating on the bottle just about any other time I would drink it. yeah, I guess I can be a 'snob', but i'm a fair one, no? and as much as I abhor that camel piss swill bud light, they have a pretty decent commercial they're playing during the hockey playoffs.... (689 characters)

Consumed June 7th, 2014 directly from the bottle by the pool in a friend's back yard, which should be the optimal consumption environment for this brew.

Appearance cannot be rated properly since I drank directly from bottle, so I'm going with "average" since I couldn't tell.

Aroma was indistinct sweetness and a touch of orange.

Flavor was very mild. Almost no wheat taste (that tell-tale, agreeable metallic zing) nor yeast character (soft powdery notes, floral, peppery, bananas, cloves, etc...) which leaves the tongue wandering around, searching for elusive notes of orange (found it) and honey (got it, too). Seriously muted with bashful flavors all around.

Average mouthfeel with moderate levels of carbonation and medium body.

Overall, a pretty pointless brew, in my opinion. I want to actually taste the ingredients, not pound thin beer water by the pool. (869 characters)

Appearance:
Pale gold color, clear. Some carbonation. Thin head.

Aroma:
Very faint. I could smell a little bread and lemon.

Taste/Finish/Body:
sweet, bready, grainy, touch of honey. Some crisp bitterness towards the end, a little lemon-pepper. Finish is very dry, a little chalky. Body is light, dry, a little flat.

Overall:
It's an average beer. (349 characters)

A light hazy colored brew with white soapy froth. Aroma is sweet with lemon, honey and bread. In the taste, lemon and honey. Faint bitterness does little to stand in the wat malty dextrins. Light body with a smooth medium carbonation. Overall, this is a ok beer, it is refreshing in its ways. Not bad. (301 characters)

The stuff is awful. There is just no other word for it. It looks good, but that is where it ends. Smells like staw-corn-piss mixture, nasty coors based yuck! I guess it did not help that I drank a Westy 12 before this, but even if I did'nt, this beer is the pits. Taste is exactly like the smell is and like if it could actually get any worse...the taste goes down hill as it warms and ends with a genuine used toilet water taste. I purchased a 12 pack of the collection including Summer, Regular, Farmhouse, and the Agave Blond, and all of them were equally disgusting nasty beer. The color was different between them all, but other than that, all taste nasty. I just can't get past that nasty wet liquid corn taste ... it is repulsive. I am not totally against Coors as Coors light would rank a 5 against this nasty-ass shit. (827 characters)

Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a light golden color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, slowly fading to leave a decent level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the beer is biggest of a grassy, clover, and lemon smell mixed with a light wheat aroma. Along with these smells are some very light honey and biscuit aroma as well with just a hint of yeast.

Taste – The taste begins with a sweeter and crisp flavor with some wheat and a slightly doughy taste. The sweeter flavors are mostly of a honey nature, but also have some flavors of a more sugary sweetness. A bit of lemon comes to the tongue more toward the middle, with the wheat and doughy flavors lessening at the expense of a light biscuit flavor. With a light grassy taste coming to the tongue at the end, one is left with a sweeter but yet somewhat crisp flavor to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the average side. Both are rather nice for complementing the sweeter flavors all while keeping it more on the crisp and refreshing side.

Overall – A bit on the sweeter side but actually rather crisp and refreshing and a pretty easy going summer style brew; just what it is meant to be. (1,386 characters)

Pours a clear pale yellow with a nice head. The lacing is average and is not well retained. Nose of Belgian yeast over a light honey sweetness with a touch of citrus. Almost medium bodied with a strong level of carbonation that imparts a nice effervescence on the finish. The flavor profile is that of a classic wheat ale, but is quite muted. Light citrus over light honey with just a barely noticeable touch of spice. Nice crisp finish that finishes clean. (457 characters)

Pours a golden, ever so slightly amberish color with a 2 finger white head that hangs around for a bit leaving little lacing in a 16oz pub glass.

Smell is not impressive with a little bit of a malty smell and maybe a little bit of honey.

Taste is of the malts and honey, but not very impressive. Was looking for much more flavor.

Mouthfeel is creamy, velvety with not much to it.

Overall, I would drink this if it was all I had but I will probably go for the traditional bluemoon before I bought this again. (514 characters)

Its a great beer for an ale beverage, not the best, but pretty decent wheat beer and excellent for a Belgian beer

Head is excellent for the most part when you pour it into a glass cup as I did to give it a full observation(Although it disappears fast even with proper drinking methods). The carbonation is beautiful and full of bubbles, but not so much carbonation that it would be impossible to drink. The texture is pleasant.

I would now have to describe the taste in such a way as to be accurate. The taste is like Welsh Rarebit in a bottle. Its excellent. The aftertaste sticks with you for a while and its probably among the better in bottle beers when it comes to the cheaper beer.

The smell of the beer is attractive. The moment your nose smells it, you will want to drink it up. If I had any beer that I would have liked to be introduced to when I started drinking, it would be this one. Although that wasn't the case( I was introduced to many other imported beers) .. but this beer is very attractive. (1,011 characters)

Sampled earlier this evening on 4/21/14. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a tulip glass.

Pours a hazy orange-honey in color with a small white head that settles to a thin layer on top. Lots of streaming bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Some spotty lacing is seen with each sip. The aroma is of honey and wheat. The taste is about the same with touch of orange zest coming through as well. Actually a great taste and goes down each. No bitter or harsh aftertaste. A great Spring & Summer brew that is from their "Seasonal Collection". A new brew from Blue Moon I believe. (621 characters)

poured from the bottle into a Weizen glass

A - Pours a straw-gold capped by a one-finger astringent head. Streams of carbonation can be seen rising from the bottom of the glass. Head is gone half way down the glass.

S - Really not much upon opening the bottle save a little bit of wheat malt and tiny amount of orange peel. Smell becomes a bit more pronounced in the glass and open up a bit touches of honey love as promised.

T - Starts off fine with honey and wheat malt. In the body the honey really takes over and almost seem sickly sweet in contrast to the light hops and wheat backbone. This dichotomy grows as the beer passes over the back of the tongue and hop notes become more pronounced. Honey, orange rind and stale wheat malt finish.

M - On the heavier side of light bodied with substantial carbonation. Fizzy and slightly creamy as it passes over the back of the tongue, this is actually the best part of the beer by far.

It tastes about like they just poured Honey into the standard Blue moon. This ends of being more of a bad thing as the coriander is lost and replaced with sticky sweetness that almost seems out of place. The decent mouthfeel is the only redeeming quality of this beer, which I suspect will never purchase again unless it (again) finds its way into a variety pack on sale. Life is too short to drink mediocre beer. (1,357 characters)

Poured from 12 oz bottle to plastic cup as that is all I had working out of town.
A- rather translucent, golden color with a moderate white , bubbly head. Normal looking pale wheat ale.
S- smells of malted wheat, corn syrup, slight bit of honey but not much else.
T- after the wheat you get a tinge of Apple /pear type fruit. Again, the corn syrup taste comes in but really can't find a taste of honey at all. Not a bit of hop presence except for a almost unnoticeable bitter on the end. Again, like the nose, rather underwhelming.
M- light medium mouthfeel with slight carbonation. Just not that much going on.
O- part of the perils of working in small, middle-of-nowhere towns means the selection is next to nil. This is a pretty average-tasting drink. Rather boring. (774 characters)
