A - Very hazy straw yellow to gold with a small white head. No lacing.

S - Under a somewhat musty grain smell, there is a hint of citrus pith, spiciness and a clean aroma.

T - Initially, a bit of light grain, very floral - wildflower honey perhaps, and prickly pear. Aftertaste of lingering grain with a moderately bitter component, light floral notes and prickly pear.

M - Thin, a little harsh, but very refreshing.

D - I confess - not bad. I don't care for blue moon proper, and I generally don't like blonde ale's either, but this one is kind of nice. I wouldn't buy this, but if someone has a variety case of blue moon, I definitely choose this over the crappy rendition of a witbier. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised.

Honestly, if this was not brewed by Coors, it would be rated much higher. Is it great? No. But it is definitely a drinkable beer.

A - Clear deep golden yellow with a fizzy white head, Blue Moon Agave Blonde Ale looks the part, briefly before the head disappears into the beer leaving no real lace on the glass.

S - Well, I'm not quite sure what agave smells like to be honest, so that non-malty fruity, sweet aroma that lingers here is probably it. A touch of pale malt and very minor, almost indistinguishable floral hops complete the circle for a mediocre aroma with little ambition.

T - Notes of light spice and citrus surround the soft wheat profile and pilsner malt flavor. Toasted amber notes peek through with that same "agave" sweetness in flavor.

M - The mouthfeel is the pinnacle of this beer; with a nice, smooth feel and moderate carbonation, the spice and citrus balance towards the back end works well with the sweet lingering part of the beer.

O - A decent lawnmower summer beer that one doesn't have to think about, there is enough balance there to keep the playing field even and not be too sweet, dry, or bitter. I'm not quite sure about the agave's real influence, though there is a fruity, sweet aspect to the beer I presume is it.

A- Clear golden body with white head that dissipates to a ring.

A- Sweet pale malt. Slightly odd after smell.

T- Sweet pale malt body. Some citrus and wheat.

M- Medium-light body and moderate carbonation. Sticks around in my mouth, but in a sticky unpleasant manner.

D- Refreshing, but not great.

Brilliant clear golden body with a massive white head, forms a thick band of lacing with each sip. Not bad smelling initially some biscuit malts, sharp wheat, and earthy quality. Pretty muted at first, but after a few sips and I let it warm there's the agave nectar, slightly syrupy notes arising. Flavor has more cereal grain, sharp wheat notes, and lingering sweetness that comes off as a simple syrup. I can see how this stuff could get fermented into Tequila, sharp sweet character from the agave additions. I'm not sure that it helps the flavor any. It's actually tooth numbingly sweet, and it doesn't help the overall beer any. I could definitely pass on this the next time, bad idea. I could see that if it was inspired by trips across Mexico. Mouthfeel is pretty cloying the sweetness is just too much ferment and distill this out into a new hybrid Tequila before drinking it. Light to medium boy linger residual sugars are the part I'm having a hard time with, carbonation no complaints in that department. Overall, hard to consume just not an enjoyable flavor profile, that's as constructive as I can be.

Got this in the Blue Moon summer sampler.
Pours a light honey color with a foamy white one finger head.
Smells of light wheat and Citrus with a sweetness I'm sure comes from the Agave.
The taste is mildly sweet with a bit of citrus and wheat on the back.
Overall this is a great beer to session on a hot summer day.
I know all the bad reviews this will undeservedly receive.. But it's truly a good refreshing beer for summer.
Cheers.
