On tap at the OHB taproom downtown Hickory.Iam surprised there are not more Steam beers out there being its a true American style, poured from the tap a clear lighter amber shade with tight formed half finger white head.Aromas consisted mainly of leafy hop and some toasted grain, flavors were quite spicy, thereis a quite a herbal hop smack to it,light pizza dough with added sweetness comes into play as well.A well hoped brew here with the hops lending big spiciness, pretty good.

Deep amber with a creamy head and excellent sheets of lacing down the glass. Very nice in appearance. A musky, earthy hop presence. Not much of a citrus scent or anything other than a hint of grapefruit. Big malt base with caramel and toffee. A light bready flavor. Spice is a big part of this brew as well. If the hops had a little more character I'd like this a bit better. Well balanced and a good bitterness in the mouth complimented by the spicy, peppery flavors. All in all it's not the most refreshing or drinkable Pale...but it still gets my attention for being pretty different. One, maybe two is the max because of the lack of a good hop profile in my book.
