The amber you’ve always wanted. Crisp and clean, but full of flavor: milk caramel, toasted biscuit, and sweet wheat. A medium-bodied brew that has character yet remains an all-game drinker that always satisfies, never disappoints, and plays well with many types of food.

12oz bottle of the first bottling run in 2015. Served in a snifter 4/13/2015.

A- Dark amber bodied, two finger thick, effervescent white head, good retention, a fair amount of lacing.

S- Grainy caramel, toffee, a bit of grassy, floral and even a hint of citrus.

F- Very grainy caramel accompanied by a fair amount of floral and citrus. A little peppery kick to it, which I think is predominantly floral in character.

M- Medium bodied, not insubstantial, but not thick or syrupy either, which is nice. Good carbonation, not that hard to drink.

O- Decent for the style, nothing impressive. Nice balance between the malt and the hops.

I bought this off a single shelf at a grocery store outside of Milwaukee whilst there for a hockey tournaments. It poured a clear amber with no head and no lace. The scent had hints of caramel malt. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a decent beer.

Pours amber. Short, bubbly, off white head that fades immediately.

Smells fruity, toasted malt, caramel and grassy.

Tastes Caramel malt, toasted malt, fruity and light grassy. Finish is semi dry with toasted malt and grassy linger. Medium body and fizzy medium carbonation.

Smooth caramel color with 90% opacity. Head is popcorn colored and starts at a finger, moving to a solid thin ring.

Aromas of jammy fruits, some cornbread, and bread crusts. Slight esters.

Flavor is super complex and has several layers. It starts with bread and blood orange, moving to some pithy flavors, and finally to roasted caramel malts. Jam and fruit float in and out - plum, raspberry, blackberry. Some melon too. Light martini onion. Just really, really complex.

Feel is medium bodied, well carbonated, with some thickness throughout. The feel on the finish is nothing short of fantastic. It's succulent.

Karben4 has done some great work here. I'm not a huge fan of amber ales, but if YOU ARE, you owe it to yourself to try one of the best Ambers on the planet.
