Bitter with lots of mango. I also get some banana and tangy grapefruit notes. At 5.6% ABV this is a great beer I can enjoy drinking any day of the week. (152 characters)

Mini was growler was poured into a large tulip glass.

Appearance: This beer poured a billowy head that reduced to a thin layer. Nice frothy lacing when the head reduced. It is a hazy golden straw yellow with a little clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. More frothy lacing down the glass as the beer wad drank.

Smell: Bready and sweet pale malts, yeastiness, orange peel, lemon, grass, tangerine, spicy, apples, and pear.

Taste: Lemony, orange peel, tangerine, bready and sweet malts, vanilla, spicy, peppery, yeasty, some apple and pear.

Mouthfeel: Chewy, spicy, refreshing, tart, medium bodied, medium to high carbonation, and a little dry.

Overall: A nice and refreshing APWA. Mini growler is gone and hopefully the brewery has more. (763 characters)

A - Served on tap in a Trillium pub glass. The beer arrived with about a finger's worth of bubbly head. Not much retention. Not much lacing. The beer is a light straw color, little bit of copper or orange. Lighting wasn't great in the bar, so not quite sure. It looked pretty good though.

S - Fresh hops carry the day. Light citrusy notes, very little malt presence.

T - Opens up with the fresh hops and follows the nose. Very pleasant. Light citrus. A little bit of lemon as another reviewer has mentioned, but mostly just the flavor that I equate with hops. Little to no tropically sweet flavors. Then boom. Bitterness. It's like I got hit by a truck and gained amnesia. All I remember is overwhelming bitterness on the finish.

M - Very nice, nice cushy feeling on the swallow. Medium bodied. The bitterness really clings to the tongue on the finish though.

O - This is pretty much the most bitter beer I've ever tasted. And not in a good way. There were really nice flavors up front, and then they just flat vanished in never-ending waves of bitterness. Lots of good points to this beer, but ugh, bitterness needs to be toned down. (1,138 characters)

The beer pours a light creamy white head that dissipates quickly and leaves some nice lacing. The beer itself is hazy but can you can still see through it. The beer is a lemon yellow with slight hints of orange. The beer smell is very hop forward with slight hints of malt to dull the edge off of a little bit. A mixture of hop smells with grapefruit and a nice lemon tinge to bring it all together. Regarding beer taste, the beer is also hop forward. The strongest flavor is grapefruit with a lemon undercurrent as well. The malt flavor is very light and easily overwhelmed by everything else. The beer has biting carbonation and light bodied but with a little more thickness. The biting carbonation makes the mouthfeel crisp but leaves the mouth a little dry. Overall, a pretty okay beer, the hop variation is nice but it is a little strong. (843 characters)
