Poured from a fresh growler courtesy of Davepoolesque
Bright golden body with a bit of haze throughout and a bubbly white head
The scent of this beer is immense. Tropical fruits, citrus, and it just jumps out of the glass. This scent is as good as any ale I've had, and that's a long list.
This is a very complex but drinkable pale. You get the spice of the Belgian yeast character. It's not as juicy as the nose would lead you to believe. Got some bitterness and a bit of citrus rind.
Hopefully if this eventually gets bottled, it retains all of the great character that came through in growler form.

Growler fresh from the brewery (thanks Alex) poured into a bulbed pint glass. The liquid portion comes out a straw yellow color. Very hazy with lighter straw yellow on the sides when held up to the light. Liquid portion looks more like a hefeweizen than an American Pale Ale. Nice thick frothy white head with pretty decent lacing to it.
An excellent smelling American Pale, you can tell this one is really well hopped, and definitely some West coast IPA style hopping. Plenty of ripe citrus, peel, and lots of tropical fruits (primarily mango and not quite ripe pineapple). Give the glass the ol' wine swirl and you can pick up the malt backbone a little more, it's slightly bready I'd guess some type of wheat based malt with a little bit of biscuit.
Taste is awesome, one of the best tasting American Pale Ales I've had in a long time. It's hop forward, but not quite as much as the aroma. Thanks to the hop combination, you can really detect distinct citrus flavors like clementine, grapefruit and even a little blood orange. Plenty of citrus peel and a little more mango, pineapple, and even hints of kiwi. As I said very hop forward but really not that bitter. Malt backbone is nice, as I indicated before I think there's some type of wheat based malt because it tastes a little wheat bready/grainy. Dried oatmeal flakes glazed with some honey. This is a really awesome tasting pale ale.
Mouthfeel is really good, not very heavy, a nice medium body with a pleasant lingering flavor. Spot on carbonation level the whole way through. Slightly gushy, but overall nicely balanced. Starts initially a tart hoppy rolling to a nice gentle sweetness then back to a nice sharp, dry (very dry) bitter finish. Crazy drinkable beer, any beer lover could drink this year round. I refer to beers like this as craft beer crowd pleasers. Really happy to have finally gotten around to trying it. Huge props again to Alex for picking this up for me. Looking forward to seeing what else Trillium can do, but I'll gladly get this again.

32 oz mini growler was poured into two pint glasses.
Appearance: This beer poured a good size head that reduced to a thin layer and left some nice lacing on the glass. It is a hazy pale orange with some clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass.
Smell: Floral, citrus, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, tropical, grassy, and pine with some bready and pale malts in the rear. It's like a symphony of aromas for my nose to smell.
Taste: Intense hop flavor. Pretty much what was mentioned above is true with the malts and bitterness in the rear.
Mouthfeel: Tingly bitterness, tart, medium bodied, medium carbonation, chewy notes, and some chalkiness in the rear.
Overall: You can't go wrong. Growler or draft and both have been solid. Speaking of growlers, this mini needs to get filled.
